Intro –

The name KRUMBLS is a dedication to my family of origin and is made up of the first initial from the names of each my brothers and sisters -

Kim, Rafika, Umar, Mirembe, Butch, Laura

With the S coming out of our family last name Soaries, tying us all together in a nice neat happy bow.

Sometimes, when I close my eyes, I can see all 7 of us as those messy little kids, piled in that house at 481 Marion St. - and my heart is so full of love, for each of us – separately and together, that the memory becomes a beautiful blessing. Times like that I could be laying in the grass, eyes closed, and that memory would be the stars sprinkled across a night sky for me.

That’s where the name KRUMBLS comes from. The idea for the story comes from that magical place where all ideas come from. It is my hope that the magic that inspired it, coupled with the beautiful memory I am blessed with, touches your heart and inspires
