Chapter 1

The fierce sunlight made her feel at home. After a year in dull and dismal England the heat of Sevilla in southern Spain came as a welcome change.

Hotter than home though she admitted, home had been Dar es Salaam on Tanzania's Indian Ocean coast, there the temperature was boosted by humidity, but in the Provincial capital it was pure and furnace-like heat.

To Penelope it was another world, and it was hers to explore... alone.

Of course John should have been there, it had been planned as a second honeymoon, or at least that was the excuse they used for booking a break during the busy season for John's company. But as with all such plans... it backfired, rushed at work
