      As soon as I walked up the steps to the nondescript building, I felt a wash of panic come over me. This wasn’t how I wanted things to go. I had promised myself I would never come back here, and yet here I was. But why? What did I have to gain by being here?

      Well, I could protect Sabrina. That was what I was doing here. If I was being honest, that was what this was about. I wasn’t interested in cleaning up the streets and turning the city into a place we could all be proud of as a community. I wanted to keep her safe, and that was pretty much it. Selfish? Yes.
