As I turned over the tarot card, my client raised her eyebrows.

‘That’s not what I was expecting,’ she said, looking at the image of a woman and shopping trolley plummeting to earth.

It was a picture by Banksy, the graffiti artist with a secret identity whose paintings, prints and drawings sell for millions of pounds. He’s thought to be from Bristol, but the truth is, nobody really knows who he is.

‘It’s the same as the Fool in the Rider-Waite tarot cards – you know, the ones most card readers use,’ I explained.
