INTRODUCTION
One of the most important things in life is to have a dream, something that one desires to accomplish in life. A dream speaks of something that somebody desires to have, to conquer, to achieve etc. A dream points to what someone intends to be in future, while on the other hand, a nightmare is simply a dream that turns bad. A nightmare speaks of situations we encounter that are contrary to our expectations.
When your dream becomes a nightmare, it simply means that your hopes have been crushed, what looked promising has turned out to be something else. When this happens, you experience deep emotional pains, you suffer from mental torture that can destroy your life if not handle correctly.
I heard of a story of a young Man who was in a relationship with a certain lady who was studying out of the country. They had planned to marry when the lady completes her studies. However, the lady met another guy in the Country where she was studying and without breaking up with the other guy back home, got engaged to the new guy. When she came back to Zambia, she gave the first young Man an invitation card to her wedding. The young man was extremely hurt and after some days of not being seen in public, his body was discovered in his house, the pain of disappointment resulted in his death.
So many people that look happy are carrying deep pain in their lives because of many things that have gone contrary to their expectations. Proverbs 14: 13 tell us that even in laughter the heart may sorrow and the end of mirth may be grief. Looks may be deceptive; many who look successful and happy are actually living in agony.
What is your experience today? What is it that causes you to shade secret tears? What is it that makes you cry and worry about your future when you are all by yourself? You dreamt of being happily married but today your marriage is full of pain. You dreamt of being happily married but now you are approaching forty years and you are still single. You dreamt of being happily married but the man you loved left you pregnant and married another person. You are a victim of divorce and this has left you emotionally crippled. You have good papers but years are passing and you cannot find a job. You had a brilliant business idea which you shared with your friend, things have failed to work with you, but the person you shared the idea with is succeeding with your idea. You desire to study so that you can upgrade your status in life but the challenges around your life seem to be insurmountable. The message in this book is that "never ever give up on the promises of God for your life because God always fulfils what He says, He will never fail you regardless of how dark your situation looks like." I will
