About this ebook

What is it, what are its causes, what consequences does it entail? Discover all the answers to Alzheimer's disease.

Alzheimer's is a disease that has increased in terms of the number of cases affected in recent years, which in turn has caused many questions to arise when a person or a family member receives the diagnosis, such as, what  Alzheimer's is, what its origin is, if there is a treatment, how the disease evolves, what the consequences in everyday life are, what the psychological effects on the patient are, if it can be overcome, if it is transmitted to children.

This opens up a whole collection of issues to deal with in order to calm the uncertainty felt when getting to know that one suffers from a disease that is increasingly "common" and widespread, and of which little is known about the latest scientific advances in this area, due in large part to the  complexity of the technical language used, but also because these advances usually reach only specialists through meetings and congresses where this type of information is shared.

    Preface

What is Alzheimer´s Disease? What are its causes? What are the consequences? Discover all the keys to Alzheimer’s Disease.

The number of Alzheimer's disease cases has increased in recent years, which has given rise to many questions that emerge when a person or a family member receives the diagnosis, queries such as what Alzheimer's Disease is, what its origin is, if there is a treatment, how the disease evolves, what the consequences in everyday life are, what the psychological effects on the patient are, if it can be overcome, if it is transmitted through inheritance...

This opens a whole melting pot of questions to deal with to alleviate the uncertainty that comes from knowing that you are suffering from an increasingly ‘common’ and widespread disease, and of which little is known about the latest scientific advances in this area, due largely to the complexity of the technical language used but also because these advances usually only reach specialists through meetings and conferences where this type of information is shared.

    Objective:

The aim of this e-book is to serve as a first approximation to those people who have ALZHEIMER's disease themselves or within their families.

This book tries to clearly present the results of the latest research on Alzheimer's disease, with which three fundamental questions would be answered, both from the point of view of the patient and their families, starting with the main ones: What is Alzheimer's, what are its causes and what consequences does this have on the life of the patient and their relatives?

    Addressees:

    - Health professionals who need or want to deepen in the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

    - Professors who would like to offer their students up to date information about Alzheimer’s disease.

    - Anyone who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and their families so that they could know how to deal with this disease.

    Topics

Below, each of the main themes of this work is detailed:

    - Defining Alzheimer's: Despite how much people may have heard about Alzheimer's, it is still a great unknown to many.

-Alzheimer's causes: Discover the origin of Alzheimer's, get to know AD better to prevent it.

    - Consequences of Alzheimer's: Both for the life of the person receiving the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease and for their relatives.

Alzheimer's has come, sneaked into the home

Nobody invited him, but he won’t be gone.

The patient will relentlessly be losing his memory,

Helping him with love must be necessary.

The brain gets damaged, it cannot be avoided

He'll forget the past, act like a boy did.

Treat him tenderly and give him affection.

He didn’t mean to create that situation.

Not remembering things will cause anxiety,

Avoid recalling memories, that’ll be true piety.

The more you love him, the better he will feel.

His attentive eyes your wounds will heal.

    -—LOVE—-

    Chapter 1. Defining Alzheimer's

One of the undeniable truth is that life keeps moving forwards every day, and that at some point in the future it will stop. There will be two dates on every tombstone when you die, one is the day of birth and the other is the date of death. In between, life will develop, with all its joys and sorrows, with all the opportunities and troubles.

Everyone wants to have a long life, and if it is with loved ones nearby, even better. But as the years go by, forces falter, skills and abilities are no longer what they were, and little by little people become less capable for some activities. However, if there is an evil that is feared more than death itself, it is disease, especially if it
