About this ebook

The book is generally about two girls (cousins) who live in a small town knowing everyone who lives there plus sharing their experiences together. I wrote this book purposely to show that life could/can be enjoyed without such strong early relationships with others. This book will walk you through what young girls think about throughout their journey of life with the hope of fulfilling their purpose on earth. This book will make you laugh and probably cry which is not a bad thing seeing that life is full of surprises.

    Acknowledgments

This book could not have been possible without the support and love from my wonderful daughter, Carla, my wonderful son, Omar, and my lovely grandchildren, Shawn, Cashawna, Rylie, and Chanae. My extended family and supporters to whom I am thankful for their financial support are my mom, my aunt, and my uncle.

To friends I hold so dearly… In this lifetime, I am fortunate to have had the experience of knowing these dear friends, such as Cailyn (my best friend forever who has been there for years), Faye (a dear heart whose kindness extends itself), Joy V. (whose words of wisdom keep me grounded), Angel (who’s always there, present and sincere), and Rhonda, Mrs. Arshravan, and Stewart, who are new in my life, but they too represent themselves as strong, supportive, and intellectual women. I thank you all!

    Chapter 1

    A Summer to Remember

I looked at Lela with a sigh. I don’t feel like playing today, Lela. It’s too hot. Plus, it’s so boring. Maybe tomorrow we can go swimming in the lake.

Lela and I lived in the deep south of Alabama and couldn’t wait for the state fair to come into town the following week.

"Do you know, Priscilla, we will be fifteen this year on our birthdays, and we haven’t made plans for our party?
