He Is…We Are

The Creator of all that is has many names as we are many people. This includes the One, the Divine, God, Source, Universal Consciousness, Higher Self, Universal Wisdom, Buddha, Life, Allah, Atman, I Am, Eternity, Beloved, and many others. Some are used interchangeably, but I like calling Him the Divine because it reminds me of His magnificence and our Divinity.

He is the morning sunrise and the evening sunset. He is the desert sands and the world’s vast oceans. He is the sweet twitter of a bird; the thick, luscious green grass; and the hypnotic savannahs of the motherland. He is everything that we can think of and that which is yet to be revealed. There is no place where He is not and nowhere He has not been. Stretch your hand outward, and He is there. Journey to the stars, and see Him twinkling at you. He creates with infinite vision. His splendor is unbounded and will carry you where He wills it even unto the corners of Forever.

His depth surpasses man’s known reach, and His heights stretch beyond the farthest reaches of every imagination. All at once, He is one and He is billions. There is nothing that He is not because He is everything and everyone including you. He is the beggar and the inch worm. He is the prince and the king of the pride. Everywhere you turn, you see His likeness and creations. Everywhere you turn, you see Him.

Who are you? You are Him—That which He created as an expression of Himself to be like Him. You embody all that He is! He is eternal as are you. If you are wondering, How can I Be Him? Easily! The same way the ocean can be the Ocean. When you start with an Ocean and scoop a cup of ocean water out, that water is still the Ocean even though it’s a smaller, separated amount. It has all of the properties and contents of the larger body. You are the cup of ocean that remains the Ocean. You are Him in compact form.

Since we are Him, our Divine energy has many names just as He does. Our Divinity is called the Soul, Spirit, Divine Self, True Self, Authentic Self, and Being along with others. Prior to coming into the world, we were One with the Divine and all that is. The world of Spirit is referred to as formless or unmanifest. The physical world is form or the manifestation of formless. We existed as energy without form when we were One with the Divine. Now we exist as energy in form, also known as a body, and we return to formless when the body dies. So everything is energy whether it is formless or in form, and energy in the physical realm can exist in different states. Think of water, which can exist as ice, liquid, or vapor. There is a perpetual cycle of energy moving back and forth between formless and form, between unmanifest and manifest, because energy cannot be created nor destroyed. This is transformation—the changing of form. Once our tasks are complete, the body dies and returns to the Earth; but the immortal Soul or Spirit returns to formless once again. So that which is truly You never dies. It just moves in and out of form. You
