One nation, under God with liberty and justice for all. Words that once described our beliefs and the intentions of our founders is one of the reasons that people from around the world have come to this country, their pursuit of freedom. But, is it still the case in America or have we become in slaved to the national debt and the wellbeing of our neighbors, next door as well as around the world. With Washington’s latest agenda, we no longer are a society of free citizen’s but, have become a nation of drones being instructed on our every move. They’ve even determined that the best way for them to protect us is by tracking us, meet your new big brother. Uncle Sam, must have gotten a roommate.
Renewal of legally registered guns in Washington D.C. is the latest infringement on the rights of D.C. citizens. Not only, do they, the government, want to know what firearms you own but, they what to make money off of requiring a citizen to continually, every three years, renew the registration. Citizens have 90 days from a giving date based on your birth date to renew a gun license or the original license registration is void. The law abiding gun owning citizen becomes a criminal and their constitutional rights are apparently completely inconsequential. Gun owners, Christians and patriots are now considered extremist, in America. A war on liberty has been waged against Americans and the enemy is our own government.
The War on Poverty
began in the sixties for all practical purposes, around the same time as the national debt and they have both grown completely out of control. Helping people to help themselves, would be a novel idea. We once had programs like the CCC
, which was before my time, but the people actually worked for the money they were receiving from the government.
We have become a nation sick with the bug of socialism, our government suppresses its citizens with laws that openly violate our Constitution and burden us with the responsibilities others. These charitable gestures were once handled solely by the church and the free will of the people. As our country moves further away from its roots and core values our government has deemed it necessary, first in the 1930’s with the New Deal
and then in 1960’s with the War on Poverty
, to act on behalf of the needs of the people, by providing services ranging from food and housing to healthcare, all with little regard for the cost of providing these services. In the current age of entitlements a citizen is even provided phone service and a phone, on behalf of the taxpayers, and the eligibility requirement is, already being on some form of assistance. It’s as though we what to make it as easy on folk’s as possible, not become all they can by keeping them dependent on the government and our tax dollars which we barrow most of. I only hope some of you, actually will raise up your voices in protest, because we are quickly become a nation buried in debt and we aren’t even attempting to pay off any of it.
This statement was made during a press conference on 14 November 2013, by the President of the United States, notice that he believes that the government exists to help you with your life. And I quote "I understand why folks are frustrated I would be to, because sometimes people look at what’s taking
