The Reincarnation of Zeus: Why 40% of Americans Don't Vote
()
About this ebook
Approximately 40% of Americans don’t vote and as much as half of the remaining 60% are completely in the dark. Large population states such as Florida, New York and California dominate our national elections, frustrating Middle America. Certainly the conscientious but meager 30% who persist can’t influence policies without winning elections! Politicians and the national media have deliberately confounded our citizenry in order to promote their own private, salacious agendas justified by lurid, sensational reasoning. Noteworthy to many, our founders provided us with Constitutional ways to oversee these predictably evolutionary processes; transcending even political affiliations. This book portrays many of the more fanciful ways that our government is run from behind closed doors, who is in bed with whom and a multitude of other dark secrets the average person wouldn’t even think of. It comes at a time when Washington, D.C. seems more bewildering with each passing day; which is to say that the clandestine psychology of politics may turn the 40% into an even higher number unless people ultimately come to terms with certain modern day truths.

Introduction
At a time in our nation's history when every American should be extremely concerned about their family's futures we find ourselves in the midst of a large, disinterested voting block holding the rest of us hostage. Unless we can somehow influence these people to exercise their Constitutional responsibilities of monitoring our elected government it is certain that politicians of all stripes will use every device available to them in furthering their own private agendas, leaving American citizens at their mercy.
Over 40% of Americans don't vote! That number is life-changing when one considers how many election outcomes do not truly represent the average man or woman in this country. Our government has done a fine job of distancing itself from grassroots America. The media's term, disenfranchised, is meaningless and does little to explain the problem. In fact, it leaves non-voters with the impression that they're rightfully excused.
This book is an attempt to present thought provoking paradoxes so that both voters and non-voters demand informed answers from their state congressional delegations about this country's questionable political agenda. Constitutionalists will agree that, though we have seemingly insurmountable matters to resolve, like-minded voters in both predominant political parties could quickly effect real changes in Washington, D.C.
Republicans and Democrats alike should appreciate the magnitude of these problems once appraised of governmental enigmas and freedoms that are disappearing almost on a daily basis. Indeed, the following pages at times will seem unreal and unbelievable to some. If you find yourself in that group my sincere hope is that you trudge forward. Often, when mere superficial absurdities dare to present themselves, it is at those times that one's veiled curiosities are unintentionally fulfilled.
Political evolution is a slow death for America. Redefining a Constitution such as ours could never be a hasty undertaking; our founders were exceedingly careful on that score! It is we, the just heirs to this More Perfect Union who will be held accountable to those who must endure the future sorrows of our self-inflicted illiteracy.
Chapter I
The People vs. The United States Of America
The whispering mantra of those controlling our nation's capital today is Confusion; whether they know it or not. The muddy waters of our current political system plainly breed an apathetic society, leaving us in a flawed state that we unreasonably, yet obediently endure. Many of our politicians know this; even foster it, given the massive geographic and economic challenges required of their constituents to oversee them.
The sad reality is that human nature insists most of us to be a nation of followers and work-forces. I state Whether they know it or not
because the remaining residue of political types in Washington, D.C. just go along to get along, lest they end up in a windowless back office somewhere on Pennsylvania Avenue; never to be seen or heard from during their uneventful and probable short tenure.
Hereafter even you might be forced to confront your private inner flaws. The ones you secretly hid away long ago, either for convenience sake or psycho self-defense; lying dormant but not dead. My rationale is to bring all truths to the surface so that each person might realize and therefore act upon philosophies that were once obvious to mankind. That may be a lot to anticipate, but we shall see.
Since our inception Americans have mostly believed that a two-party system was the best way to run a government. The ironic part about this is the Father of our country, Mr. George Washington no less, was not in favor of political parties. His thinking was that politicians should find ways to agree. What a concept! But if you have ten problems and everyone agrees how to solve nine of them why not spent your time arguing over the one and ignore the nine? Anything else would be just plain stupid, considering that's how you garner attention in a city that's only real justification these days seems to be garnering attention. The citizenry be hanged! State's Rights and all of that nonsense take power away from Washington. We can't have that! What were our founding fathers thinking of anyway?
How could Thomas Jefferson have predicted this scenario: a Midwest city decides to add a public transit system? After all, the federal government is going to subsidize the largest percentage of the cost because public transit is cost effective. Once the buses are running the city administration is told that the buses largely run empty. Why? The answer most likely is because rural populations aren't used to relying on public transportation and don't see a real need. But the city's administrators don't want to lose their tax subsidies by bucking the system so they come up with ways for their local taxpayers to also subsidize the losing venture. Higher taxes all around!
Some politicians call this a stimulus plan because more people are employed; in this case bus drivers, mechanics etc. The catch is our tax base has been further eroded by government intrusion in the name of equality for the masses. (What about my city?
) Cost effectiveness has obviously been disproved, albeit a lesson that should have been learned fifty years ago. It would be cheaper to pay these people to stay home and save the cost of fuel.
Government employees are, in fact, double whammies. Their aggregate incomes, even the taxes that they pay, are paid for by the private sector. Plus they've also been eliminated from the private sector tax paying pool. Example: 5+1= 6; 5-1=4, a difference of 2,
