About this ebook
happy family. Henryk had taken two capsules of Source Naturals L-Tryptophan,
to help aid restful sleep. Unknown to him, these capsules had been genetically
engineered and brought absolute and total life destroying effects into a previously
happy and contented home. This is a tale of tragedy. Dark and disturbing, it
goes into specifi c detail of the bizarre and disabling effects unwanted alien
genes can have on a human body and mind.
Henryk Behr
Prior to becoming severely disabled at the hands of a genetically engineered food supplement, Henryk was a fi lm lecturer at Dundee College in Scotland. Sylwia was a housewife, looking after the home, Henryk’s parents and caring for their two children, Alan and Dawid. Henryk and Sylwia had a close and loving relationship; spending a lot of time together, they were extremely well matched and enjoyed their lives together immensely. The beauty in their lives turned into a living horror when Henryk made one small mistake. He took two Source Naturals L-Tryptophan capsules to attempt to relieve slight insomnia.

Bibliography
For my darling wife Sylwia, for my dear children Dawid and Alan. For my parents, Henry and Gladys. I love you all.
Henryk.
Thank you for staying alive, I want you with me Henryk, no matter what the future brings. I love you with all my heart.
Sylwia.
Disclaimer: The exact dates and durations of the events outlined in this short book are an unknown. I cannot exactly remember specifically when events happened, and for how long they remained. I do however very well remember the actual events themselves. My wife, Sylwia has assisted me in writing this book with regards to trying to piece together the events involved. My memory has been severely affected by my poisoning and so at times the information runs a course, as it happens, from point to point as remembered. This is evident at the start of the book. In other places later it is jumbled up, not necessarily running in any order. It is categorized into sections rather than following any running timeframe. It is however all accurate information, as it happened exactly in all its horrific and brutal details.
I have also asked Sylwia to contribute to the content in this book, which contains her accounts of happenings as well as mine. I wanted to include this information. The journey into living with a disease which has occurred through the genetic tampering of a perfectly safe and natural amino acid has been bizarre to say the least, horrific and demonic to say the worst. In asking Sylwia for her help in writing this book I seek to understand how she felt, how she coped with the day to day challenges of the horrors of living with someone at home suffering from the Eosinophilia Myalgia Syndrome. (EMS)
I have left out information on purpose pertaining to certain parts of this crazed story. The reason for that is this would be a very large book indeed if I covered everything. I don’t have the energy for such a task. I have omitted a great deal of information which is already in print, in my first book A momentary lapse of reason
. The first book looks at my journey through the health system, trying to get a diagnosis for a disease for which there are no diagnostic tools. It contains information in the form of emails relayed between myself and nemsn members, survivors of this disease from the 80’s. It is also an expose into the corrupt U.S. government personnel and departments, as well as the biotech industries behind the monstrous genetic engineering experiments being wrought upon us. These people are responsible for my suffering, for the suffering of my whole family. I hold them accountable in these books. I hope justice they deserve is rightly served on them. I believe it is the responsibility of all to ensure they are brought to justice. People in high positions, from the President of America Barack Obama, to George Bush, his predecessor, all the way down the line. They are knowingly experimenting on our health with substances they are well aware will damage us. Why? Money. What else could be more important?
George W. Bush cited by William Saletan (2004): History is moving, and it will tend toward hope, or tend toward tragedy
. You said it George.
A FATEFUL DAY
MID OCTOBER 2010, Dundee, Scotland, an overcast day, I had finished work for the day, my parents had spent several days at our home, and I was out shopping for supper. I visited a fishmonger and bought salmon and lemon sole. My parents were staying for supper and the plan was that I drive them home afterwards. After buying the fish, I travelled home to find a parcel waiting, a parcel containing food supplements from Biovea.
I had been awaiting the arrival of this parcel for several weeks. I had been experiencing slight insomnia as the result of a stiff neck and had purchased L-Tryptophan from Biovea, an advertised natural product to help induce sleep.
Biovea had not sent the product I had seen and ordered on their website, which was Biovea L-Tryptophan. They had sent a product from the States, Source Naturals L-Tryptophan.
I considered taking the Tryptophan that day, to see if they afforded any assistance with regards to my slight insomnia. I had heard of L-Tryptophan years previously as a treatment in a book named Natural Highs
(Cass, H, Holford, P, 2001).
I had to take my elderly mother to visit her doctor and decided to take the book with me to refresh my memory on what I had read previously while I waited for her in the car outside the surgery. The book gave mention to a rare debilitating and sometimes fatal disease which had occurred in the 1980s as a result of L-Tryptophan consumption. It states this was the first major blunder of genetic engineering—the manufacturer had genetically modified an organism to produce tryptophan.
It continues Tryptophan itself is, however both safe and effective
and Cautions—None reported. I had also read about the disease caused by L-Tryptophan on the Biovea website itself (www.biovea.co.uk), where the following information is given by Gaby (2011).
The manufacturing error was identified and corrected relatively quickly". The disease in question was Eosinophilia Myalgia Syndrome (Abbreviated as EMS herein).
As I sat in the car awaiting the arrival of my mother I read the words of Holford and Cass in Natural Highs
, safe and effective
, no cautions reported
, I read that EMS was the first major blunder of genetic engineering. I considered this information alongside Gaby’s statement on the very website I bought the Tryptophan from that
the manufacturing error was identified and corrected relatively quickly". I trusted what I read and considered that I would look a little further into the actual product I had been sent, the Source Naturals L-Tryptophan online when I returned home and make an informed decision about taking them.
My mother returned to the car having visited with her doctor, we drove back home and I went to the internet to seek out reviews on this product from people who had actually used it. I was most interested in reviews relating to why I was considering taking the product myself, to enhance sleep.
On returning home I went online and checked reviews at Amazon.com for the product Biovea had sent. There were no reviews available at Biovea (www.biovea.co.uk) but even had there been I did not feel I would have been able to accurately rely on them, as they had sent Tryptophan from Source Naturals, not their own product. There were around fifty reviews at Amazon, mostly positive. Only three negative reviews had been left, but these customers were only unsatisfied to the extent that they had not noticed any benefits in taking the L-Tryptophan. I considered them safe, absolutely safe, even though I had heard of EMS, the manufacturing error was identified and corrected relatively quickly
. (Gaby, 2011).
The bottle states for insomnia to consume three 500mg capsules prior to going to sleep. I decided to proceed cautiously, to see if I noticed any relaxation effect from a smaller dose. I took one 500mg. capsule.
Sylwia and I then had to ourselves visit a doctor’s surgery with our youngest son Alan, who had a sore throat and a bit of a temperature. Having taken the capsule we proceeded to drive to the doctor a short distance from our home. We were advised to give Alan Calpol to lower his temperature; we thanked the doctor and drove the short distance to return home.
About an hour had passed since I had taken the L-Tryptophan capsule, I felt no more or less relaxed than I had done prior to taking it. As the bottle stated three capsules prior to sleep I decided to take another. Sylwia began to prepare our supper of fish and potatoes and an hour later we sat down with my parents to enjoy the meal.
It was a good supper, as Sylwia’s cooking always is, tasty and satisfying. We all had lemon sole and potatoes. I stood up to put my plate in the sink for washing and immediately noticed something was very wrong, very wrong indeed. My head was spinning and I had difficulty moving towards the sink. I felt panicked and strangely disorientated in a manner I had never felt before.
