    DEDICATION

What is it or who is it that causes a man to be able to do that which he is not capable of, becoming who he is not capable of, going where he is not capable? It is the God of whom all things are possible. Jesus says without Me, you can do nothing but with Him, I will be very productive and accomplish many things. He promised if I would follow Him, He would make me a fisher of men. In other words, if I would follow Him, He would give me the capacity to do things far beyond my human ability. He would give me the ability to influence at a much higher level than I ever could without Him. He would make the impossible possible. So penning this book for me alone would have been impossible, so I dedicate this writing to the person who deserves it most because He inspired it all. So to my Heavenly Father, who without Him none of this would have been possible. All glory goes to Him for what has gone from pen to paper.

    To my loving, Heavenly Father

    Amen

    ABOUT THE AUTHOR

You have really been inspired when you have been inspired by Almighty God Himself. There is no experience that can compare to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God. Because of Him, I have now completed and published my third manuscript which is in addition to my other accomplishments. My salvation experience ranks number one, I give my marriage to my lovely wife, Belvia the number two spot, successfully rearing our children I would have to give the number three spot, the call to be the founder and pastor of the Red Sea Baptist Church ranks forth, my higher learning experience School of Ministry certificate program at the UMHB ranks fifth, becoming a published author ranks six place, song writer and singer for the glory of God ranks seventh place and lastly retiring after 20 years of service to our country I give the eighth place.

I could not have accomplished any of the things listed above without the Lord Jesus Chris being first in my life. It is truly Him doing the work in and through me through the power of His Holy Spirit. And I insist that He receives all the glory for it all. Praise God.

    FOREWORD

    Giving Birth to Wisdom

    Can You Tell?

Can you tell when a woman has given birth to her baby? Sure you can, the most obvious is her tummy goes down but not only that there are very noticeable changes in her appearance and behavior. Now the mother knows there’s someone else in her life that is a constant reminder that there has been a permanent change and addition to her life. Everything that she does and every decision that she makes, she now has to take in consideration of this new person that is in her life and the effect, whether long term or short term, it will or could have in the life that now lives within me because this life that I now live it is not I alone but there is someone else whose living in her life as well.

Being a mother is supposed to change the way a woman lives her life and so it is when a person gives birth to wisdom, it will change the way you live your life. You will recognize that you are no longer living your life alone or on your own. It is not you that is living your life but Christ is living in and through you and as it is with a new mother it will be with you. Others will be able to recognize that you have given birth to wisdom because you too will lose the weight of the sin that use to so easily beset you. The new person that is in your life will be a constant and consistent reminder of the change that has taken place in your life and that your life is no longer just about you but you must consider this other person who will be affected by whatever decisions you choose to make. My friend, if you have given birth to wisdom, there will certainly be a change in your behavior, your, demeanor and character. It will be unavoidable and a change you won’t be able to hide. Giving birth to wisdom changes the way one thinks and once the direction of your thinking changes, so goes your behavior it will follow in the new direction of your thinking. Say amen to that if you please.

In 1 Samuel 18:1-30, we read about a young man by the name of David, who is to become the second king of the nation of Israel. The current king has behaved very unseemly in that he’s very rebellious towards God, the one who empowered him to be king. This alone makes him very unwise as a king. Before Saul was king, he was a nobody. It wasn’t until God had him anointed as king that he was able to prophesy as the other prophets. The power and the influence all came from God.

Job said it like this, The LORD giveth and The LORD taketh away. An unwise man will not realize that his power, abilities and influence comes from God and as easily as God has given it all, He, God can remove it all. God did just that, He removed it all from Saul and chose to bestow the kingly anointing upon David, a man who would be known as a man after God’s own heart. Saul became jealous of David. 1Samuel 18:5 states that David went where Saul sent him and he behaved himself wisely. In 1 Samuel 18:14-15, the bible says David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and The LORD was with him. When Saul saw David’s wise behavior, Saul was afraid of him. Although, David knew that Saul didn’t like him, even wants him dead; yet and still he [David] continues to operate wisely in his attitude and behavior. Saul was afraid of David simply because God was with him (David).

Saul offers one of his daughters in marriage to David and not knowing that he’s being set-up, David considers this new person that he has given birth to (called wisdom) before accepting such a position. 1 Samuel 18:23 records David speaking to the king’s servant; ‘seemeth to you a light thing to be a king’s son-in-law, seeing that I am a poor man and lightly esteemed?’ David was expressing to Saul’s servant that becoming the king’s son-in-law is not something one takes lightly. It is a huge undertaking that comes with great responsibility not just to his wife but of the kingdom. David takes under consideration the God, who empowered, anointed and gave him the influence, whether or not; he would be joining the royal family. David felt that he had to earn the king’s daughter’s hand in holy matrimony, so he did. But even after the battle that would win the hand of the king’s daughter, Saul would now be even more afraid than before. Still, no matter the situation, David behaved himself more wisely than all of the servants of Saul.

When one has given birth to wisdom he or she will behave themselves more wisely than their friends and their foes as well. Giving birth to Wisdom

Where are you in the wisdom birthing process? Have you conceived and if so, how far along are you? What trimester would you say you’re in at this time? Has it gotten uncomfortable for you yet? You know just the idea of you having to make room and share your space with someone else; the idea of getting to know the ways of this other person; I mean, where would you say you are in ‘giving birth to wisdom?’

At first, it’s just an idea until the idea is now a reality. The reality sets in when you have to rearrange and make adjustments. You know you’re adjusting and rearranging when you begin to experience the kicking and the elbowing. When there’s movement that causes nausea. Are you at the point in the process where you’re not able to move around like you used to? Depending on how you walk it could sometimes disturb this other person that has moved into your life to where it causes you to have to slow down and sometime stop moving completely. Where are you in the process of giving birth to wisdom?

Are you having contractions? Does it seem as if this other person is requiring more space because he or she has increased to the point of having you to bear down? Then, all of a sudden, something breaks and the pain is almost unbearable; so now you have no choice but to give this person more space in your life and the only way to accomplish this is to deliver the baby by giving birth to wisdom. Giving birth to wisdom will allow you to give the person the much needed space so she can grow and move around freely as needed. Amazingly enough though you and the baby both now realize that he or she has to move from its current occupied space. At times during the birthing process you have to almost force the baby to move. If you allow wisdom to stay in her unborn state it will be very detrimental to your spiritual, emotional and physical health.

    INTRODUCTION

Have you ever looked around and said there’s got to be more to it than this. The "this that is referenced, is life and if you have made that statement to yourself or others, my question to you would be. What were you pursuing then and what are you in hot pursuit of presently in your life?" If you have yet to experience more than this it is because of a lack of wisdom. With an open heart, pay close attention to the writings of this book and note that wis comes before dom. The wise will always out-do, overcome, rule over the dumb, and live a fuller and more prosperous life than the dumb. It begins with where you’re getting your information; the well that you frequently dip into for guidance and advice. What’s your source, your reservoir, your data-base that is the supplier of information? Whose responsibility is it to keep it flowing with fresh and up-to-date information?

From whose table is the source being fed? The reason why most of humanity is not experiencing more is because Jesus said that He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Is He the source or the well from whence you draw your information? If not, make Jesus your well. Then there’s the problem of understanding the information that we gather. Again, if you make Jesus your source, He promises to give you someone who will teach you all things and guide you into all truth. That person is the Holy Spirit. I get to know Him and He will reveal to me the understanding. Once I get well acquainted with understanding, He will introduce me to wisdom whose purpose is to help me arrive to the place where I begin to experience the more than this life.

    GOD’S WISDOM

WISDOM - READ ALL ABOUT IT

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Genesis 3:6

To make one wise here means to make one intelligent, to make one an expert, to make one prosperous, to make one skillful, to make one successful, to make one to understand, to make one behave ones-self. It also means to consider, to instruct, to teach, to guide wittingly.

    WISDOM WHAT IS IT?

Wisdom, what is it and how is it born? What gives life to wisdom or is it who gives life to wisdom? Are these legitimate questions? I believe so and I hope that after you’ve read this book you will agree as well.

    The Legitimate Questions

    1. What is wisdom?

⁵ Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. ⁶ Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. Deuteronomy 4:5-6
