FOREWORD

THIS BOOK IS a compendium of a thorough biblical exegesis. The author has done brilliant, painstaking theological justice to the various numerical symbolisms and interpretations, ranging from the number 666 to the number 4 and then cumulated on the prison number of Dr Nelson Mandela which is 46664. The ideology and scholastic exegesis of this number is quite expository.

Decoding these symbolisms, he went on to metamorphose them into present-day realities, especially the HIV scourge and other deadly epidemics that are ravaging the poorest of the poor by demonic forces.

Not only did he analyze the entire redemptive account from Genesis to Revelation, but he also took cognisance of the fact there is a way out. Having a bias on the present-day obnoxious approach to these endemic scourges and other related demonic activities, he zoomed to the conclusion that Jesus Christ still remains the one and only hope for mankind. This he proved by tracing the efficacy of the gospel and urged all and sundry regardless of creed, race, or nationality to embrace Christ.

He concluded by saying that failure to embrace this sole deliverer will continue to expose mankind to the various wraths and judgements of God as enumerated in the book of Revelation, of which a careful retrospect will alert us of the reality, considering the trends and events in the world today.

It is therefore noteworthy that we read this book without bias but with an open mind, considering the contents with a view of escaping demonic calamities.

FELLOW PEOPLE OF the world, God’s proof of self to every generation is in the body of Christ and, very evident in the exceptional might of the word we share, the redemption journey and the power of the ever-changing life of the world. This book exacts the fact that numbers are very essential in understanding time and wisdom of God’s presence amongst other ways of revelation. The events of our time can only be ascribed to the life-changing power of resurrection, the ways and state of man’s journey with God. The numerical correlation of the Word of God and that of the present-day events have significant evidence to the continuum established in Hebrews 13: 5 ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you’, which compels us to always search for his ways and manifestations both in our time and as witnessed in the scripture.

It wasn’t a coincidence, however, that President Barack Obama became the forty-fourth president of the United States of America in a time when racial strife is beginning to diminish or be allayed. What does the number 4 mean to you? When Mandela was freed, apartheid ended and, seemingly, colonisation too. The restoration of human dignity, racial tolerance, and man’s wholesome readiness for the body of Christ in principle gathered a momentum to up the quality of life of Man on earth.

Then, it is good to know that ‘4’ has an inspiration of light in the Word of God as I envisioned penning The Power of 4 in the Light of God. Meanwhile, to confirm the correlation between the journey of man with God and the significant shifts in human relationships has been attested to through numerical symbols, with number 4 showing its numinous quality upon significant victors of this generation. Therefore, the following reading brings together a collective interlink of how the leading events that ended the last forty years of the twentieth century (Long Walk to Freedom) and the first twelve years of post-2,000 years of Christ reign (Yes, We Can) became revelatory of the underpinning factors of authority and praises in the light of Jesus Christ.

The number 4 being the rotation point of leap years, that is one in every four years having 366 days, suggests that 4 has a jump-high ability to effect a guarded change as seen in Bible stories and in the earth’s spherical quadrants of the east, west, north, and south boundaries.

It is my wish that you read this book with open mind so as to suck into comprehension what the Holy Spirit intends for you. May it be a reason for you to visit the Word of God with an intention of searching for hidden meanings, moral direction, and the renewal of your spiritual vitality; I pray God grants each of us the grace and faith to constantly hear the heavenly voice as we run the race with discriminate faith.

INTRODUCTION

THE WORD OF God expressed in ordinary human languages can be read in many ways—as scripture or just a moral code of conduct, as theology, and as prophecy. It is worthy to acknowledge all of the ways, but the most significant approach to the scripture is in search for the spiritual meaning that directs us to meet God. It is indeed very encouraging to rediscover the vital connection between the Word of God, its symbolical similitude with man’s journey and renewal of the face of the earth, with redemption towards holiness.

It is revelational to keep alive through generations the war against diseases, sicknesses, and death of all kind, and praises led by the most precious blood of Jesus Christ . . . in whom we are truly saved

True freedom is a gift of God’s love, and it is against sicknesses, diseases, and death from satanic hold on mankind. Therefore, we are called to join the walk-by-faith struggle and, in the process, work out the freedom we desire and be redeemed by the victorious power of Jesus Christ, who forgives sins and chains pandemics east, west, north, and south with the power of Resurrection and praises which the four living creatures in the heavenly throne of God offers (Rev. 4: 6-11) as they continuously sing holy, holy, holy praises unto God. Thus ensuring victorious praises sounds from the leading thrones, filling the 4 corners of creation with no iota of sin and nefarious acts likened to 666.

Numbers are very scriptural and significant from creation to the journey of redemption. Throughout the scripture, the Word maintained order in the use of numbers. They are used in expressing signs and times.

The creation and the commandments would be incomplete without any symbolic numbering. The account of creation happened in a numbered days; in Genesis, creation began and ended in seven days. In Ezekiel 4, the siege of Jerusalem was portrayed with numbers—390 days for the house of Israel while 40 days for house of Judah—and a day for each year has been laid, signifying the multiplicity of timing numbers. The book of Revelation started with the seven churches and then described the throne of our God with seven lamps of fire—the seven spirits of God in Revelation 4: 5 and the four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. They are full of eyes and the eye is known to be the light unto the body and the light was created on day four with four duties tasked; and the four creatures do not rest day or night praising ‘Holy, holy, holy’, leading the praise to our God; I guess, I am more than amazed how 4 and other numbers are vital and can be revealing, meaning that the will of God can be expressed through numbers and in other ways.

It wholly assures that there is order in God’s Kingdom. And for the reason of discovering the consistency of number 4 standing for light and praises in the Bible because the authority given to light brings praises to God and wherever number 4 is used in the scripture praises God.

When I saw 666 surrounded by 4 at each end as Mandela’s prison number, I became convinced that truly God is with Nelson Mandela and in the struggle against every work of the Devil, apartheid, racism, and God has assured victory over every work of 666 men and spirits (beasts).
