    INTRODUCTION

In most African homes, it is the culture and tradition of most people, especially the elders to tell stories or tales to their children in order to pass across to them the tradition or culture of the people of that particular area in the past years.

In most of the plays or stories, the people identify with principal actor or actress by trying to study the motives and behaviour of everyone of them. If the behaviour of anyone of them is good, the people try to identify with this particular actor, but if the action put up by any actor is bad in a play, the people does not want this type of persons and they disown them immediately. In this play, we will be able to see the roles played by each actor or actress, and we will learn one or two things. Life, sometimes, is not a bed of roses, but in our moment of needs, certain helps come to us without even knowing why, some may say that it is pure luck, but I say it may not be so, as there is order in the universe. From experience, I think that we humans have exactly what we have through merit. In this book, Accused negligent worker under trial, freed, the gods played a great role in the life of Innocent probably because of his right decision made to save his community and at the same time, the gods were invisible to the eyes of the people. So, Innocent, helped, and he too received help despite the fact that some people were against him. Ayo Eniola tried to help Innocent with his problem despite the fact that Innocent himself didn’t ask him. This is how most cultures and traditions are in Africa; when someone receives help, he in return pay back to the helper in time of his need, but sometimes it may not work out the way that it is expected. In this particular case, Ayo was helped by Innocent without knowing, and later, Ayo in return paid back by asking his in-law to help. Whatever must have happened, the author thinks that we are living in a universe that is ordered and that whatever that would be, must eventually be.

Cats are animals that are known for having a great basic instinct. The sense of feeling for this particular animal is very high. It can perceive odour of things from a far distance. Also, it can see. Therefore, people are said to be cats if their behaviours
