Born in 1954 in Lady Selbourne north of Pretoria, the family, like many

others was forcefully relocated to an area west of Pretoria where she
attended her primary schooling. She was then sent to a boarding school for
secondary education. She has a degree in Communication and Sociology; a
post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management, Strategic planning and
Management, and Advertising Management. She saw a need to contribute
towards the education of adults and 14 years ago, did a Certificate in Adult
education. She taught English and Commercial subjects at senior level until
at the end of 2009. From 1988, she managed her own business until the
recession of 2008 left her with no option but to suspend operations.
When not writing, she enjoys gardening, reading, cooking, painting, listening
to music and creating clothes. She is married to her husband of 36 years and
resides in Soshanguve, a location north of Pretoria. They have two grown
children living elsewhere.view less
