It was a day in November. One of those dull miserable days. Tommy Parsons was fifteen years old, with one brother, two years younger, named Stuart. Their Father was a drunkard, who had gone off, two years ago, leaving their Mother to bring up the boys single-handed.
She moved away from the old house, as she thought it would be much better for the three of them, to make a new start in another neighberhood, away from the scandal-mongers, with their wagging tongues.
Ravensbrook, their new location, was more upper class, and Mazy Parsons, the boys Mother, knew it was not going to be easy, trying to make ends meet, but she would do her utmost, to see that her two boys didn’t go short of anything. Luxuries of course, would be beyond her financial limitation.
She secured an office job for herself, in one of the nearby supermarkets. The pay wasn’t all that good, but it would have to suffice, for the time-being. Maybe she could supplement it, with an odd job of some description.
