About this ebook

This is a book for the family that explores the problems of the youth and the responsibilities of parents.

All may not be said, but it looks into how parents can develop a relationship with their children. It also looks at ways of helping young people of today come out of their confusion of the times. It is packed with drama and fun just for one to actually feel the reality of the book.

Most importantly, it tells of service and dependence on God for both parents and children. It doesn't matter whether you are married or single; you can still bring up your children for God for we are called to be witnesses, married or unmarried.

I do believe that after reading this book, something that has laid dormant in you for long will begin to make you come to realization. To God be the glory, now and forever.

    Preface

Life today has become a race in which we are all running in a bid to acquire wealth and be comfortable. In our quest to achieve these we become involved in our desires we do not take the things of God into account and put him at bottom of our agenda. We go all length to the detriment of our relationship with him to get what we want, but the bible state clearly that instead of troubling ourselves over material things, we should seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you Mathew 6:33

Because the Lord gives, he experts us to honour him in all things. For the bible says honour the Lord with thy substance and with the first fruit of thy increase Proverbs 3:9. Again the Lord warns us that them that honour me, I will honour and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed 1 Samuel 2:30, this means giving God the due respect with everything materially and spiritually including our children. The Lord instructs us in the bible to train up a child in the way he should go so that he will not depart from it when he grows Proverbs 22:6. This is because parents who acknowledge and reverence God know and accept that children are heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb is his reward Psalm 127:3 so the Lord expect us to lead them in his ways Thou shall teach them diligently unto thy children and shall talk of them when thou sitters in thine house and when thou walkest by the way and when thou liest down and when thou rises up Deuteronomy 6:7. Meaning, bringing up children involves every time of our lives everywhere we are. This is God’s own assigned responsibility for parents to represent him over children on earth for the bible say suffer the children to come unto me and forbid them not for such is the kingdom of God. Mark 10:14 so that parents can bring them to the point where they will know that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Proverbs 9:10

Education of every child begins from home and the family, for every individual that walk on the surface of this earth come from a family. The greatest education and legacy a child can have from parents is teaching him to know the Lord almighty. The Lord has his eyes on every child because he has endowed them all with great potentials. The greatest inventions and ideas all come from a child who grew up. The upbringing of children should not be taken lightly and toyed with because the input into children is the output we get. What a child becomes tomorrow is what is put in him yesterday. The directions we give them today is the directions they will follow tomorrow.

For Hannah took her son Samuel to the priest and said for this is the child I prayed and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him. Therefore also I have lent him to the Lord. 1 Samuel 1:27-28 This may sound impossible to parents today especially them that worship their children to part with them. Today is it not
