About this ebook

Each of the twenty six poems within this book has a starting point, an idea to set the mind racing. Teddy Bears come alive through pen on paper, a child's handprint, a silvery moon in the evening sky, hungry birds, a pirate's chest, monsters and ghosts and many more. They all want to entice you in, grab your attention then explode with colour and imagination upon your mind. Although every poem has been written for a young child to read and enjoy, adults too I hope will enjoy the fun within the pages.

    Of children’s voices – singing.

She looked around the forest glade –

    And saw she was alone,

Yet heard the voices still ring out –

    Within the trees beyond.

She heard the birds above her head

    Sing sweetly as they sang,

Then saw a hand reach out to her –

    And beckon her to come.

He was dressed in green from head to toe –

No shoes were on his feet,

His head was fair, like sheaves of corn –

    His eyes the deepest blue.

He whispered to her to follow him,

To walk where he had trod

And took her to the secret dell –

    To listen to their songs.

She sat upon soft leaves of trees –

    As comfy as any bed,

The food she ate, the water she drank –

Was the finest in the land.

The Elves, as they turned out to
