    PROLOGUE

Life can be very strange. This book, for instance, all came through dreams and visions, though not like normal dreams and visions. It would happen in the early hours of the morning. The dreams and visions were so real it was as if I had been transported into the story itself and was actually there with the characters. And if I wrote something wrong, then it was corrected in a dream the following night. For example, I originally wrote the character, Georgina, in the Easter story as a deep depressive because of what she had done. But the next night a dream showed me that the girl actually had a bubbly personality, though she cried herself to sleep every night because of what she had done. The dreams revealed some of the characters names, and some were left unnamed, while I was free to name the rest. How strange dreams can be.

I have learnt that a man and woman’s most precious gifts are love and true friendships. Love—the love between a man and woman and between parents and children—and the gift of true friendship are priceless.

I have been blessed by both. I used to be a heavy alcoholic. I left my wife and family for the drink just because my wife didn’t want me drinking. But I was saved from it all by true friendship, love, and divine intervention.

I had a great friend called David, and he and his wife Irene always tried to help me.

But I also had a great friend called Bob, who took me in off the streets, gave me a room, and put up with me and my drinking for a long time. This happened not just once but a number of times, How anyone could put up with me like that I don’t know. When I’d put an end to all that and had beaten the drink and settled in back home, I asked Bob why he had put up with me like that for so long.

His one answer was that God had told him to. The last time I saw Bob he was in hospital. I asked him the same question again, and his answer was just the same. Praise God and thank you, Bob. Sadly, Bob passed on the very next day, but he will never be forgotten. What a man. Thank you, Bob.

I love how my wife Glendia put up with me and never divorced me but was always willing to give me a chance. I let her down so many times. That must be true love. She has been and always will be an inspiration to me. She never doubted our gift of love and that we were true soulmates.

I also thank God and his heavenly angels. I thank my guardian angel, as well as the angels, Destiny and Louise.

I hope you enjoy this book and that it makes you think. It did me. Life and dreams can be very strange indeed. So now for the book.

DESTINY OF TIME (A BOOK OF DREAMS).

    CHAPTER 1

    A DATE WITH DESTINY

    break.jpg

It is said that we are chosen before time itself to do God’s work, and so it was with Liam Hunt and Melody Hurst, who were actually father and stepdaughter but taken for a real father and daughter because of the way they got on together and the closeness and love between them. This is their story.

It all started with Liam having a dream in which he was told, ‘You and Melody have been chosen to work together on an adventure, which you will both find very rewarding—not in a financial sense but in terms of real values. I’m sending someone this weekend to explain it all to you both.’

And at that, Liam woke up.

He thought the dream strange but kept it to himself. He pondered that Melody was due over the weekend and smiled to himself.

And so the weekend came about. Liam and his wife Maxine had just finished lunch when who should walk in right out of the blue but Melody. Liam just stood there in silence, thinking back to his dream. After Melody had given her mum a big hug, she turned to Liam, who was still just standing there, gazing out of the window and thinking. ‘What’s wrong?’ Melody asked him. ‘You’re quiet.’

Liam snapped out of it and just said, ‘What are you doing here?’

‘If you don’t want us here, we’ll go back home,’ answered Melody.

‘Sorry,’ said Liam. ‘You know I’m always pleased to see you. You are special to me.’ He walked up to her, and the two of them stood there for a few moments sharing a big hug as they normally did.

‘Anyway,’ said, Liam, ‘what made you come down?’

‘I just felt the need to see you both. I thought it would be a lovely surprise for you both,’ answered Melody.

‘It was that,’ said Liam, ‘and in more ways than one.’

‘What do you mean?’ asked Melody.

    ‘Nothing,’ answered Liam.

The evening progressed. Liam and Maxine’s son, Chris, had gone to bed just after supper. He wanted to get a good night’s sleep so he’d be ready for his rugby match the next day. Maxine had fallen asleep in the chair, as she often did. Melody asked Liam if he wanted a cup of tea. ‘And then we can talk about what’s bothering you,’ she added.

‘Nothing is bothering me,’ answered Liam.

After Melody had brought the drinks back in, she said, ‘Liam, sit down.’ Joining him on the sofa, she said sternly, ‘Now tell me what’s wrong and don’t say nothing, because I know you too well.’

‘Okay,’ said Liam. ‘You’re right. Well, I had a strange dream about us both.’

He had just started to explain when, all of a sudden, the room was full of a bright light. As the
