About this ebook

Climate Control is about just how our inner status affects our outer experiences, and not only in our perceptions of them, but how they do in fact through the law of attraction and repelling bring experiences into, or not into manifestation.
Also our inner climate impresses in, on, and at a collective level playing a part in geographic and worldly creation. Nine years ago I had a life changing experience that left me hopeless at the time in that I felt very insignificant, and exposed to the mercy of something much greater than myself.
In that time of complete surrender to be whatever would be, I was inspired to go deeper into my own being and search for some deeper connection to it all. This inner journey revealed to me outwardly through many resources that we are not at the mercy of something greater, but in fact we are the mercy of something greater.
Through the commitment to journal about this four years later my own personal endeavor serves as example that anyone can start right were there at, and use their life experiences up to that point to grow into, and experience life in a more desirable way.

    INTRODUCTION

C limate Control is about how our inner mental atmosphere affects and influences outer individual experiences, as well as collective worldly ones. Many times we make references to the inner status of our own or others’ emotional, thinking, and physical well-being with comments that reflect atmospheric weather phenomena. Think of phrases such as she has a very sunny disposition, they had a stormy relationship, I was flooded with emotions over the whole ordeal, his thoughts are somewhat cloudy over the matter, the idea hit me like a bolt of lightning, and the news of this shook me like an earthquake. Just like the weather outside can influence how many people feel, the status of people’s own inner climate not only affects the way they feel but also plays an important role in either attracting or repelling outer experiences into their beings.

In the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, concepts of the laws of attraction and repulsion have become very popular. The main emphasis on this subject has been that by changing your thinking, you can change your outer experiences and therefore change your life if that’s what you desire. Although changing your thought process is indeed important, it’s more of a whole reconditioning process of your entire inner being. Thoughts do tie everything else together, but one’s train of thought (or mind-set) is a process that has been going on for someone’s entire life. Most of this mental atmosphere that we have surrounded ourselves with has been done subconsciously, or unconsciously.

However, changing one’s thought process requires consciously going deep inside and recognizing and realizing how one’s present mind-set came to be what it is. When people start the process and become more aware of their inner language, they realize that this is a conditioning process that has been going on their entire lives. As a result, they start to recognize that many of their thoughts about who they are, the world they live in, and the way perceptions of life work are based on beliefs they have adopted, and accepted, sometimes based on what they were told they should believe. Then one of the biggest challenges in the process is that one needs to become more deeply open-minded and get in touch with their intuitive feelings on these previous established beliefs and recognize if they still set right with them; or if there are unsettled feelings about them.

Numerous things could cloud people’s own inner atmosphere when trying to get in touch with their deep, intuitive feelings. Many are thoughts and beliefs about good, evil, superstitions, standards, pride, judgments, God, religion, and also the inability to forgive others’ trespasses, therefore making it impossible to be forgiven of their own. The result can be ominous, dark clouds that obstruct the way of clear thinking. All of this plays a part not only in the attraction and repelling of personal experiences but also in worldly experiences at a collective level.

Just as one’s inner climate will attract like outer experiences whether they are stormy or sunny, at a collective level we influence outer experiences worldly and atmospherically. Spirituality, the interconnectedness of all life, including man, has been recognized for a long time. Science is increasingly revealing this as well, but it must be recognized and accepted more at a collective level if, in fact, the meek shall inherit the earth and have more control over it. But it must first be recognized for what it is with wisdom applied.

Through the application of wisdom, it would be realized that at a collective level there has been a negative attachment placed on many things in nature, including what is referred to as Mother Nature. It is often implied that it does what it does with no regard for mankind. Wise people recognize that they are part of what Mother Nature is, and it is natural that we are here. Just as her purpose is naturally and logically intended, we must realize we are too. Although many like and prefer a sunny, warm day, there are pearls to be found in a stormy, rainy day. Wise people recognize that many things they enjoy about that sunny, warm day were made possible by stormy, rainy conditions that preceded it. But what happens when we have too many sunny days without rain? Grass starts to dry up and turn brown, other vegetation dries up and dies, the risk of fires becomes more critical, dust storms flare up, and many other adverse effects occur. But even with some of these other effects, through science, we have learned that they are necessary sometimes for the cycle of life. For example, a forest fire will make way for new growth that has been otherwise restricted by the shadows of overgrown and overpopulated trees. And on the other hand, excessive rain will produce flooding conditions that can wash soil, sediment, and nutrients necessary for other cycles of life downstream and into the ocean.

Climate Control is a reflection of my own personal inward journey that revealed the necessity to add to the generation of the collective thought of the interconnectedness of all life. My purpose in writing this book is to share with others my insight on this matter at a time when it seems to be more crucial than ever to realize these things. Today we are witnessing the manifestation of many of the dreams and aspirations of our ancestors since the dawn of humanity. But with a world that is changing ever so fast it is evident that man himself must take his evolutionary step that is necessary for his survival, and that step would be the realization that we are all in this together. Each is an important part of the other and with all of life, which was intended on purpose to be here. When we arrive at that time of peace and harmony, the meek shall have inherited the earth, and instead of predicting or forecasting what might happen in the future, we will plan what will happen with consideration for all of Earth’s cycles and life.

I want to know how God created this world. I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thoughts; the rest are details. Albert Einstein

    CHAPTER 1

    Jesus: Illustration of Our Potential

V erily (in truth) I say to you, He that believes in me, in the works that I do, so shall he do also: and greater works than these shall he do; because I go onto my Father. And what ever shall he ask in my name, that I will do, so that the Father shall be glorified in the Son. If he shall ask anything in my name I will do it.

Jesus frequently illustrated that we all have the same potential in us that He possessed. And in John 14 He is stating this very clearly. All verses I quote are taken from the King James Version, which can be a challenging version to read for Americans. I guess that is why other versions were written. Even in the KJV, this verse is very clear. But I rarely hear the first part of these verses quoted, He that believes in me, in the works that I do, so shall he do also:

The second part (in Jesus’s name we pray) I frequently hear at the end of prayers. How many people have prayed this way and not had their prayers answered? It seems that many people have thought Jesus meant this in a literal sense, but I think he meant this in a metaphorical sense. What He meant is in his likeness or his nature.

I believe He is saying that if we believe in and obtain the sort of faith He spoke of, then our prayers shall be answered. It is more evident that this is what He is talking about when we examine other verses more closely. For example, Ephesians 3:16–17 says, That He would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by His spirit in the inner man. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye being rooted and grounded in love. And Philippians 2:5 says, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.

There are many more verses that explain that how we pray in Jesus’s name is through an embodiment of the same consciousness that worked through Him. In fact, the whole Bible is an attempt to teach us how to know God and have Him work for us in our lives. It is not simply repeating a few words; the only way to know the truth is through your own higher consciousness, which is connected to and a part of the Christ consciousness that Paul is referring to in Philippians 2:5.

But as they sailed He fell asleep; and there came a storm of wind on the lake; and the boat was filled with water, and the boat was in danger. And they came to Him, saying, master, master we perish. Then He arose, and commanded the wind and the raging of the water to cease, and then there was calm. And being afraid they wondered, and saying to one another what manner of man is this! For He commandeth even the winds and water and they obey Him. And He said to them, Where is your Faith? (Luke 8:23–25)

Perhaps you’ve had an experience when someone has woken you up—maybe a child or a parent—to do something that you knew he could have done on his own. And you were a bit frustrated with the person for waking you up. It seems Jesus may have been somewhat frustrated with the apostles on the boat, and perhaps He was thinking they still did not realize the power of faith.

Some two thousand years later, we are still missing many important teachings of Jesus Christ. It seems we have accepted Him as a Savior but not accepted all of his teachings. I have heard people say in random conversations at times that Jesus’s teachings were meant for his time and for the apostles, and this is why we do not see people performing miracles as He and the apostles did. Jesus’s message was for all times, and I believe that we can perform miracles now in our time as they did if we would just work on acquiring the faith that He spoke of being necessary to do so.

The reason I thought these verses were important to put in this book is that many of the spiritual teachings that are around talk about our interconnectedness to all of life, but not many of them refer to our interconnectedness to our climate and the weather itself in a direct manner. Some touch on it, but I am not aware of one that was solely centered on this concept.

Let’s examine the possibility that we are, in fact, connected to the weather and even affect it; perhaps we actually play a part in what the weather will be in a certain area or at a certain time. And the only way I can see to explain this is to get into the area of metaphysical origin.

Now I know that anyone familiar with studies in metaphysics may relate to how we are connected to and affect the weather. Some seem to categorize metaphysics as New Age thought, but it can be associated with the writings of Aristotle (a student of Plato and Greek philosopher) as far back as 384 BC. . The teachings of metaphysics are very ancient in nature—from even before Christ was around. Unsurprisingly, Christ proved to be one who not only understood the concepts behind it but proved it as well. And that is why He could bring manifestations of things the way he consciously chose at his command.

We are all a part of determining what kind of weather we are experiencing at any given time. All of us—whether we consider ourselves religious, spiritual, atheist, or nothing at all—have a part in what will be just by what we feel, think, and believe; what we want it to be; and what we do not want it to be. We are also a part of Mother Nature and her workings just like everything else on Earth. And since we are all metaphysicians creating consciously, or unconsciously, let’s examine the meaning of metaphysics.

Metaphysics is defined in Random House College Dictionary Revised Edition as the branch of philosophy that treats of first principal, or the ultimate nature of existence, reality and experience. In metaphysics, the understanding of first principal is that all creation, either by God or man, existed as a thought first. The Bible itself can be seen as a study of metaphysics, because it references God first principal as pure spirit and out of which everything else was created. First there was the thought of God, and then by His word (which was the command), that thought was brought to manifestation.

The Bible is called the word of God, but the word, or a word itself, is an expression of spirit or consciousness—something invisible trying to explain something through physical means. This is why one word can mean something different from one person to another. This is also why we have many different beliefs about what the Bible is actually saying. The Bible can help teach and lead one to know the word of God, but the only place the word of God can be known is in one’s own mind and heart. There are many different ways one may be led to the truth; it can be revealed to one through limitless sources. To limit the sources is to limit God. Within its own pages, the Bible teaches that there are no limits to God. But there is only one truth, and that truth is universal.

We were created in the image and likeness of God. Many interpret this as meaning God must look like a man and be a physical man too. But one of the commandments is that we make no graven images of what God looks like. Exodus 20:4 says, Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth. The word image is defined as to picture or represent in the mind, to imagine, or to conceive.

So image could mean that God created us to look like what he imagined us to be. Like the old saying goes: before I was born, I was an image in my father’s eye. Now likeness could mean that he liked the way we looked, which I’m sure he did. However, it probably means that our true nature is spiritual first and that our thoughts, coupled with beliefs, are creative. We create in a manner like God does. And not only our thoughts, but what we feel and believe consciously or subconsciously are always creating our experiences individually and collectively, meaning that we cocreate with others and God.

This is a more profound teaching of the Bible itself, because it strongly teaches us not to put an image or a face to the faceless. It also teaches that there is only one God, but this one manifests itself in and through all creation. (Ephesians 4:6) One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all.

It is done unto us as we believe, or as in Jesus’s words, According to your faith be it unto you (Matt. 9:29). Beliefs are not only what we consciously chose to believe and have faith in but also what we hold in our subconscious as a fact. In other words, we have many experiences because of our unconscious thinking, and that process of thinking creates even when we are not aware of it creating. This means that we may be creating or experiencing things that we consciously do not wish to create or experience.

And because we hold those beliefs in our subconscious based on things we learned or heard from society, relatives, and worldly opinions and some were accepted as facts, even when were not aware, we are using unconscious thoughts to create our experiences. In fact, we use those thoughts in the process of creation. As Jesus said, According to your faith be it unto you.

An example of this would be as a child you were told not to go outside without a coat or play in the rain when it was cold out because you might catch a cold. And it seems that maybe you did catch a cold whenever you did one of those things. This is not a fact; this is an opinion accepted as being fact, because not everybody who goes out without a coat or plays in the rain catches a cold.

See it this way if you possibly can: it’s not the thing you are doing that is creating something else but what you believe in by doing that thing that’s creating the other thing. Is it smoking that creates lung cancer? After all, not everybody who smokes gets lung cancer. Does everybody get fat by eating a certain amount of a specific food? I’ve heard people say that if they eat too much of a certain thing it goes right to their hips, but I’ve also heard people say they can eat as much of that same thing as they want without gaining an ounce.

Scientific studies come out with findings to support that it is the things we do or genetics or something else that causes problems. The problem with that is that their opinions always seem to be changing. The Truth never changes; it always has been and always will be, and Jesus was sent to us to be a revealer of the Truth. Mark 13:31 says, Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

When Hurricane Katrina was approaching the Louisiana coast, Sunday, August 28, 9:30 a.m.: New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin issues a mandatory evacuation order and said, We are facing a storm which most of us have feared. (Hurricane Katrina: The Essential Time Line, National geographic News.)

President Franklin Roosevelt said that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. He understood that which you fear most will come to pass. Strong fear is using faith in a negative way.

Let’s take a look how this might work. For example, let’s say you live in area that is prone to experience tornados from time to time. You hear of areas nearby where there were tornados spotted, and your local forecast is saying that conditions are favorable for the development of them in your area. All that you have been hearing and seeing—all that’s been fed to your subconscious mind over time about tornados and the possibility of them happening to you—becomes a fear so great that you actually are using faith negatively to attract a tornado into your experience. This goes for your neighbors as well, and then your neighborhood is hit with one.

Now what about the neighbor next door whose house wasn’t touched? I’ve seen this happen many times. Perhaps they have feared the tornado enough to help attract it to the neighborhood, but at some level, they had enough faith to be protected from it actually hitting their house. And we do have different levels of faith based on our beliefs, which will determine what we actually experience. It’s like the family who lived through a hurricane and had their house devastated, but they escaped untouched. As a result, they will give credit to God for seeing them through untouched. Someone might think if God protected them from being harmed, why didn’t He stop the hurricane from hitting their home altogether? He very well could have. It’s their level of faith for what God is capable of and what he will actually protect them from that determines the outcome.

There is a level of faith that will protect you and actually keep a hurricane from destroying your home or keep it away altogether. Remember the story in Luke 8; perhaps the most important characteristic of Jesus is that he served as an example of the potential that existed in all of us. No matter what’s been said about Mother Nature and our relationship to it, we are also a part of Mother Nature and the workings of it. We refer to Mother Nature as to say we recognize it as some conscious intelligence, some sort of being that is a separate entity. In most instances, it’s referred to as an intelligence that has no regard for the welfare of people. What it does, it does by chance or, even worse, as a punishment for wrongdoing.

Do you remember the old saying that’s the weather (or that’s Mother Nature), and you cannot do anything about it? It is, in fact, just an old saying untrue. In the Bible it says that God created all things and saw that it was all good, that creation was made for all of life to coexist, and that everything was intended to make all life compatible for existing. That includes us. We are not aliens from somewhere else who were just cast here to fight against and be at the mercy of the very elements we are made of.

So why do we experience chaotic weather in some places where it doesn’t seem to be necessary? Well, although in some instances it may not seem necessary, it just may be necessary in the natural laws of order as a way to preserve Earth and life. Let’s consider a possibility here. There is a lot of talk about global warming: Is it real? Why is it happening? Can we do something to stop it or reverse it? Well, maybe global warming itself is a natural thing that is happening in that Earth is balancing itself for its own preservation. Maybe we could reverse it, but that would mean doing more than changing things to reduce greenhouse effects.

The following reflects some of my own thoughts and observations regarding reasons that our planet seems to be going through some of the changes that are happening. These thoughts are not necessarily backed by any scientific proof or studies. However, one of the main purposes of this entire book is that we think outside the box; we don’t always need to rely on external sources to observe what is going on in the world and what could be causing things to happen. Let us also see the importance of a quote for what’s being said, not by the stature of who said it. We can change what is not desirable when more people look to and trust their own intuition and be the change they wish to see in the world.

Let’s take a look at some other things that may be causing global warming. Think of all the dams and man-made lakes and ponds in the world. Most people know a dam slows the flow of water. If we are slowing the flow of water and storing water in places where it was not naturally, perhaps we are restricting water and its cycle from being somewhere else it needs to be.

God knows our thoughts before we think them, which leads me to believe that not only does he know our immediate thoughts, but perhaps he knew a long time ago how man would evolve and what he would probably do and build in the future. What I’m getting at here is that science is saying that global warming is evident because icebergs, polar caps, and permafrost are melting. Perhaps one reason we have backup sources of water in the form of icebergs is because all the reservoirs, man-made lakes, and ponds in the world are restricting the natural flow of water from being in places it needs to be at a certain time.

Maybe this is the reason the icebergs were here to begin with, and the icebergs are melting to replace the flow of water that is being restricted and putting it where it needs to be. Maybe this is why different places are experiencing torrential downpours and floods—to quickly get more water and sediment to places where they need to be. Perhaps God had created icebergs in order to store water because he knew that it would be needed someday. We know that warmer temperatures are needed to melt ice, so maybe this is another reason we are experiencing higher temperatures.

Let’s look at another scenario of why global warming is happening. One of the reasons New Orleans is so vulnerable to hurricanes is because of the depletion of the marshlands. (Video In the News: Why New Orleans Is Vulnerable To Hurricanes, National Geographic News.)

And what these marshlands do is help weaken a hurricane before it hits the mainland. One reason these marshlands have been depleted is that they rely on sediment that flows from the Mississippi River to replenish them. And because man has altered the natural course of the river, these marshlands are not getting the proper amount of sediment they need.

Another cause of damming water and slowing its flow is that not of enough sediment is flowing and getting to where it needs to be. Maybe that’s one reason why some places are experiencing torrential rain and floods, because that is one of the ways nature has of getting sediment in places it needs to be. Unfortunately, sediment also finds its way into undesirable places for mankind such as homes, businesses, streets, and highways. But nature probably has the intention of preserving the earth for a much longer time than our very limited time here. Maybe we should start looking at it as a way for nature to balance itself out in its own super intelligent way instead of trying to reverse it. Maybe we should try to coexist with the changes that are happening.

Again, I think it would take more than just reducing greenhouse gas-causing emissions to stop global warming. I don’t believe that is the only cause. And we would have to change a whole lot more things we have built and done to reverse or stop it. Science says that there has always been the same amount of water here on Earth. It can never be taken away or added to. It’s always recycling itself, but the things we are doing are restricting its flow. The intelligent designer (God) has its reason for the way water flows, and instead of looking at global warming as some freak occurrence, maybe we should look at it as a way that nature balances itself out.

Later I will talk about possible ways that people can coexist with the effects of global warming. I think maybe if we put more effort into this, look at global warming as a natural occurrence, and understand why it’s happening from nature’s view, we will be able to better coexist with it. And perhaps in the process we can experience weather patterns that do not catch us by surprise. This may sound far out to some or most at this time, but perhaps we just may be able to plan the weather in advance. I believe it’s possible.

The most damaging and widespread effect of many severe weather-related incidents is flooding. This is what led and inspired me to write this book. A flood literally changed my life and the way I look at life. One morning about four years ago, my nephew woke me up and told me that we were being flooded. In his words, there was water all around the house.

This surprised me, because there were no storms forecasted for that morning. I turned on the local forecast from the Weather Channel and watched the local radar. What I saw was that a very isolated storm had flared up and dropped about three inches of rain in our area in about forty-five minutes. This storm was so isolated and small in circumference that on the radar it looked harmless, but it was very moisture saturated and dumped what seemed like all the moisture it had on us.

This had caused me a great deal of concern, and I thought about the amount of rain that had fallen in a short amount of time and wondered what would have happened if more rain had fallen. Then I thought about the amount of water available in the world and the potential that existed for a great amount of water to fall in any given area. For a while after that whenever the sky would get dark with clouds, even if there wasn’t any forecast for the potential of storms developing, I would literally start to fear and wonder if another potent storm would flare up.

And more negative thoughts continued to run through my mind and create more fear in me. One that was prevalent was the title of an episode of Storm Stories called It Could Happen Tomorrow, which was running on the Weather Channel at that time. It was this accumulation of fears running through my mind, along with the fears of other people in and near the area I live, that I believe played a part of my area experiencing another flood a few years later. Then I realized this fear had probably helped create that experience.

Well, as I said, this experience changed the way I looked at life, and I began to seek answers on how to deal with this spiritually. Science has made marvelous advances in the ability to predict the weather from the beginning of its origins, but even these marvelous advances were not able to predict the weather that morning. Furthermore, even with these advances in weather prediction, it is not a means to prevent people and their property from being affected by catastrophic events.

There is no logical way to the discovery of elemental laws. There is only the way of intuition, which is helped by a feeling for the order lying behind the appearance. Albert Einstein

    CHAPTER 2

Collective Fear to Faith-filled Climate Affects

A s that Storm Stories episode title says, it could happen tomorrow. Yes, the potential exists; it always has. We could either live in fear of this or start realizing that we are a part of everything else. If we want to perhaps prevent future events of this sort happening, we must start seeing that not only what we do but the way we think are the foundations of all future happenings. Then we may realize that instead of fearing that it could happen tomorrow, we can believe that it doesn’t have to happen. The way we believe will bring that belief to pass.

The next time you see a show or program such as Storm Stories, take notice how watching that show makes you feel, especially if you live in area that is favorable for those sort of storms happening. If you feel fear and if that fear is great enough and you start to worry that this event will happen to you, then chances are favorable for it happening to you. Again, fear embodied, believed in, and felt is a negative use of faith, and you attract the very experience you do not want to experience. Franklin Roosevelt said the only thing we have to fear is fear itself which also can be applied as I speak of fear here. A breakdown of the word fear is as follows: False Events Appearing Real.

If you feel this way or think this way when you watch programs that show catastrophic events then simply do not watch them. Change the channel, but don’t change it to something similar or something that is negatively fear-based like most of the news channels. On a daily basis the average person experience more positive experiences and less negative, but many people focus on and recognize the negative experiences that happen more. The media thrives on this to sell programming.

Look at all that happens to the average person in a day. For the most part, it is positive. But if you watch the media, its main focus is on the negative. The media thrives on the negative and makes that their point of focus. It makes you wonder if anything good is happening in the world. The reason they continue to run programming like this is because a large number of people continue to watch them.

If we stop watching fear-based programming, they will change their programming. They know how many people are watching them through rating systems, and they run their programming based on these ratings. But the way to get big business to change is to affect their bottom line, and the media’s bottom line is determined by their ratings. Through the increase of programs running of this nature a collective level of fear is increased.

What I mean by at a collective level is that when you get a group of people thinking along the same lines or fearing the same thing, thoughts can and will cause creation and experiences in the world. The book The Hundredth Monkey by Ken Keys, Jr. was a topic of how things can be learned and created at a collective level. Even though this was a study of monkeys and applied to them, if it was applied to them, it must also be applied to us. If they have this ability, then we must have it also.

Basically, the book recounts a study where scientists gave a group of monkeys some sweet potatoes to eat and placed the potatoes on the beaches. Because the sweet potatoes were placed in the sand, they were very gritty when the monkeys ate them. One monkey discovered that it could wash the sand off of the potatoes in the water. This was passed from one monkey to another and then another.

When around one hundred of the monkeys started to wash the potatoes, they all just started doing it. The amazing thing was that monkeys on the other side of the island learned to do the same thing—monkeys that had no physical contact with the first group. What was continuingly amazingly was that monkeys on other islands were doing the same thing.

When I first had thoughts about writing this book, I wanted to write it in a way that it might reach as many people as possible. And I thought that this would be impossible to do without crossing over into the field of spirituality. In fact, the only way that it could make sense and be applied is through somewhat of an understanding of our interconnectedness through spirit. Because our world, our Earth, our universe was created out of pure spirit that many people refer to as God, which we are also his offspring (Acts 17:28).

Just about all the problems and challenges that we face in life will continue to be a problem and challenge unless we start going right to the cause of the problem, which was created in consciousness. If you look for the cause in effects themselves, you are not addressing the root of the problem. To start seeking in any other place than there, you put the horse ahead of the cart. Science has made remarkable progresses in the ability to predict the weather, but they’re not even close to figure out a means to control the weather.
