Wind in My Head - Stephen Scialli

    Foreword

The author asked me to write a foreword, it was a daunting task as I have known him almost all his life and have asked over the years why his poems have not been published so far! Always the same He would respond Grown tired of rejection after rejection, starts to stifle oneself and most can never really see real genius until the writers (poets) are dead He has no discernable style, not lyrical but it’s his own! 5 years ago He lost 10 journals with over 30 years of poems, forever gone we are lucky he kept writing! Thank his muse!

So you see we are fortunate enough to be able to read them while he lives and maybe this will encourage others to get out of the writers closet and be published! As the motto reads

Publish or Perish! So read on and enjoy the poems as much or more so than I did over all these years of reading them.

    it is my intent

    not to be absent

    on the occasion

    of the new sensation

    to makes us one

    not to be undone

    fingers dance a minaret

    our tongues talk

    silent alphabet

    we soon forget

    our limbs entwined

    so heavenly divine

    all our troubles

    all our dread

    soon to be

    passing through

    Just

    wind in my head

    2011 stephen scialli

    not until

    the sun goes down

    do we go out

    into the warm

    night air

    feels great

    As the screen door slams

    barefoot Tiffany

    dressed in white

    like a vision

    she dances down the steps

    as the radio plays

    dance with me

    Forever into the night

    Baby it’s gonna be alright

    What a night

    your singing

    your smile

    sets me alright

    so delicious just right

    cold beer

    on the hood

    of a dodge

    music blaring

    from the neighbors

    garage

    dancing away

    you are the vision

    to everyday

    staring out

    at the night sky

    Tiffany girl

    the world

    is so small

    compared to our love

    even the heavens all

    may the stars

    burn from the sky

    before our love

    could ever die

    born of our love

    2011 stephen scialli/tiffany drobut

    i would love to feel

    your blush

    from the inside

    while in your arms

    staring at your eyes

    I see your lovely eyes

    all comes flooding back

    my senses reeling

    joy of holding you again

    fills me

    youthful passion

    springs forth

    ancient drive

    fills my veins

    driving inspiration

    to my fingers

    2011 stephen scialli/tiffany drobut

    dreamy eyes

    beckon touch me

    if you dare

    to follow

    the smooth adventure

    lost
