It is dark before dawn. One definition of dawn is the first appearance of
light in the sky before sunrise. Another definition is the beginning of a
phenomenon or period of time, especially one considered favorable. To the
readers of this book you have already been introduced to the darker side of
life by an author who not only lived, written, and interpreted the darker
side of life. But one who fully understands that the darker side of life is right
before dawn. I ask you to read and absorb the words he has written. For
these words will illustrate vividly the transition from dark to light. Please
be prepared to see the light in the sky before sunrise. Please be prepared for

I hope that you have enjoyed this book and that you can see the growth from my first book and this one. Yes, I am a Christian and I am a Christian that has been through some things in my life. I wanted to use the first book as a way to express the hardships, ups and downs of my life, and the battles that I went through even as a young Christian. This book is showing you the person and the man that I am now. 1st Corinthians 13:11 says, “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man I put away childish things (NKJV).” I also hope that you understand that everything written came from a good place and is an effort to shed light on positive and negative situations that people go through in life. Hopefully the positive things will continue to shine bright, and the negative will change for the better. Life is not easy but with God, family, and the right people in your life you can surly make it. I would like to thank you for your mind and the time that you took to read another one of my books. May God bless you and be with you on all of your journeys.

First I would like to thank God who is the head of my life and has honestly kept me through all of my storms, trials, and tribulations. Because of God I have learned to continue to push through the storm; and to pay close attention because there is a blessing in the storm that I don’t want to miss. I also want to thank all my family and friends that stood beside me and helped me along the way. A special thanks goes to Mikel Todd Holloway and Antoine Taco Manning. Introduction

Contemporary writer The Ghost established an original yet remarkable book of poetic lyrics you can relate to by basing his poems on his difficult and far-fetched life when he wrote and published A Walk on the Dark Side. Well needless to say, he’s at it again. Wanting to continue to take you on a journey, however this time it is through a different and much brighter point of view.

Born and raised in Little Rock, AR The Ghost has not allowed the small city view of some people to contain his dreams. All of the schools and programs that he was a part of played a major part in his life; from the great Little Rock Central High to the Upward Bound Program at Philander Smith College to being a part of the NAACP as a teenager. The Ghost is also continuing to grow in all aspects of life. He reads his Bible daily, this book marks the second book he has published, and he is due to graduate in December 2011
