About this ebook

As everyone knows, God created mankind to his image (Genesis 01:27). What mankind does not know is that God did not create man on Earth, but rather on MARS! When Mars could not sustain life anymore, mankind had to escape the planet and colonized Earth. Many years later, a study was written about the survival of mankind in Sol Four (Mars) and its struggle in Sol Three (Earth). We proved to be a species that has survived wars, slavery and other forms of abuse -- always holding on to our faith in God.

"Overall Rating: 4
out of 5 stars. I will admit when I was first approached with the idea of this book it offset me. I am not religious. However, this book combines religion, science, and human nature and thought into a very lovely collection of stories and tales. I found that I enjoyed hearing about how human kind still holds principals so close to their heart. And it gave me hope for the future."

"Frank ""The Christian Noob"" " Olvera

After struggling for decades with faith and manic depression, Frank Olvera finally decided to work on stories that remained dormant in various notebooks and disks. He is the author of "Under the Thelián Sky: Beyond the Great Unknown" (WestBow Press, 2012, ISBN 9781449735920). He holds a degree in audio engineering and another in computer science. He has also been involved in other fields such as education and journalism. He has published several websites with information ranging from music to technologies to wrestling to religion, for which he received several awards and recognition from several entities in each of the different fields. He has also received several awards for poetry. As a science fiction writer, he has been heavily influenced by Doctor Who (BBC, 1963-1989, 1996, 2005-present), James Bond (MGM, 1962-present), Star Wars Episode IV (20th Century Fox, 1977) and V (1980) and Star Trek (CBS Studios, 1966-1969) and TNG (1987-1994). Growing up Catholic, he found many aspects that he did not understand or care for in Catholicism. Hence he strayed for about thirteen years. He finally returned to the Church in the fall of 2008 choosing a Presbyterian church. Nowadays he neither considers myself Catholic anymore nor Presbyterian for that matter – just Christian. http://www.amazon.com/author/frankolvera

    Introduction

As a study of our ancestors, the honorable Department of Faith and Science of World State University Number 11DE784A had commissioned an extensive investigation to determine the atmospheric deterioration, imminent death of the fourth planet in the system of Sol and how its inhabitants arrived and colonized the third planet of the same system in the Year of Our Lord (YOL) 0D7F.0A.19.

Based on the findings that we were able to gather from the ruins of Sol Four several centuries ago, we cannot tell if the Christ (the Anointed) ever came to Sol Four, as he did in Sol Three, but we do understand that its inhabitants knew of and believed in God – as noted in what we were able to recover from a copy of His Holy Book of The Good Word, often simply referred to as the Holy Book of God. The copy that we have is dated YOL 028A.0C.19.

"20 God made the heavens and the seas and the land and the animals,

21 which He trusted to man and woman.

22 Yet flawed man and woman were given the right to make own decisions,

    23 which corrupted Creation."

    – His Holy Book of Creation 03:20-23, YOL 028A

We understand that it all began in the ancient city of Theliá, but some of the data has been lost. In this report, we intend to explain what we have found and/or deducted from our investigation as accurately as possible considering our limitations given by ancient ruins, books, logs, technologies and other sources that have survived, been recovered and/or reconstructed to the best of our abilities. In doing so, we will support our findings and/or deductions with the proper information.

As an important note, we must remind the timekeeping formats used by mankind in the three different periods this report covers – Sol Four, Soul Three and our present.

In Sol Four, a solar day (sol) is 24 hour and 37 minutes and a year is 686.98 days (1.88 times longer than Sol Three) divided into 24 months – values in comparison to those in Sol Three rounded off to the second decimal.

Sol Three divided dates counting backward from the coming of the Christ (YOL 1B67, before the Christ) and also forward after the coming of the Son of Man (Anno Domini) till the end of its history. In Sol Three, a day is 23 hours and 56 minutes and a year is 365.25 days divided into 12 months according to the Common Era (CE) calendar – the system used by most inhabitants of Sol Three at the time and used as one of the bases for our current time tracking system.

We do realize that – depending where humans have lived – a year has had different values. Nonetheless, from our perspective to avoid any possibility of confusion, we count the number of years lived by mankind in Sol Four (3,455) plus the years before the coming of the Christ (3,561) plus our present time (318). Hence this is YOL 262B indicating the existence of mankind for 9,771 years. Following our tradition, all dates in this report are in hexadecimal in the usual YYYY.MM.DD format preceded by the acronym YOL (Year of Our Lord). As such, the present date is YOL 262B.06.0D.

Before we proceed, we must point out a major disagreement between science and faith. What we will see later as the Jewish faith indicated that mankind came to existence 3,989 years before the coming of the Christ (YOL 1B67) – as indicated in the previous paragraph. These years in Sol Three were not necessarily periods of 365.25 days each, but rather units of time referred and/or used by God. Each of these years may be an era or specific number of 365.25-day periods at a time. For purposes of this report, we will consider each year as an era with some unknown number of 365.25-day periods each.

Understanding the latter concept, dinosaurs and other extinct beasts could have existed in one or several years consisting of hundreds or thousands of 365.25-day periods each. Hence we can assume that man arrived at Sol Three on a later moment of the same or later year making sense of the previous fauna and flora of the planet and its replacement with new species that arrived and were later bred on Sol Three.

Hence, we can affirm that millennia for us could be a second for God. This is one of the foundations of what we understand as scientific faith. Furthermore we must emphasize that time is relative and calendars are man-made hence subject to error as well as not necessarily linear.

One last fact we need to point out is the coincidence or omen from the Jewish tradition. Somehow they foresaw the end of Sol Three on YOL 2342 – 6,000 years after its creation – the exact time frame when mankind was forced to leave Sol Three. This time frame was also regarded as the coming of the Jewish messiah.

On a final note regarding timekeeping, we need to emphasize that we do not take the teachings from other faiths into consideration like Oneism, which claimed that mankind had come from an unknown planet called Ædîn before arriving at Sol Four as written in their holy book.

We, children of Ædîn, colonized this world several millennia ago. We do not know or care to understand who or what created us in the first place.

    – Book of One, Core Beliefs: 1, 632 (YOL 0278)

If we did, we would need to add an unknown figure in the hundreds or thousands of years, which, for a lack of a better term, would be ridiculous. As it is, our calendar system might be flawed in this perspective, but we have tried our best to accommodate the history of mankind. We need to emphasize the fact that there have been talks about including a random or specific number to accommodate Oneism, but we do not have any proof of mankind living in a planet called Ædîn or anywhere else before Sol Four. Such figure would be a guess with no scientific and/or religious base as we have never found a planet as described in the Book of One in the systems of Via Lactea or Great Andromeda (M31, NGC 224) or as far as Triangulum (M33, NGC 598).

    "23 The open meadows,

24 beautiful gardens between its two rivers,

25 was the home of One

26 under the skies of the seven moons

27 hidden by the two star suns."

    – Book of One, Understandings: 51:23-27 YOL 0278

For more information on Oneism, see the SOCIAL REACTION and/or OBSERVATIONS: GOD & FAITH SYSTEMS sections of this report.

    Theliá

As with most ancient civilizations, we always try to figure out what happened in a specific place and time out of curiosity and/or need. As such, we find a report written to record the events of Sol Four during its last days and what happened to mankind on this planet. Furthermore, space exploration has always intrigued mankind. Hence what makes us think that man has not traveled the skies before?

In any case, our story begins with the rivers running smoothly by the city of Theliá. The streets were alive with automobiles speeding consuming lots of energy that their owners had to store in solar cell packs every day – one for each following day. This was the luxury of hot summer days that could charge twice as many energy cells, while winter could only allow partial charges on any given day. At both sides of the roads, homes were powered by an array of solar cells – similar to that of automobiles – that forced a chemical reaction of oxygen and hydrogen in the air to make water, which in turn released thermal energy used to power cooking appliances, cooling in summer and heating in winter – System Oasis technology, developed several decades ago. As much as it seemed to be a society that devoured energy, the cost was insignificant. Every home, rich or poor, was self-dependent making it the environmentally-safe dream society. Such was the beauty of a society that had finally learned to be free from toxin-emitting energy sources and become self-reliable.

This was the peaceful setting where it all began. After all, every end has a beginning – in this case, a fancy setting no less. So what could go wrong?

Undoubtedly the answer was, Nothing at all.

As two men walked talking about some unimportant topic for the rest of this story, at least, one asked, Don’t you know you’re in the bowels of Sheol?

Right away, the other responded, Yeah, I know we’re in Theliá, but that’s not the point.

As strange as this quick conversation was heard and the two voices returned to some previous and serious conversation without hesitation and/or over-thinking about it, the reality of life is that we are never satisfied wherever we are, live and/or die. Nothing is enough and we are never satisfied. Our void is too deep to be relieved.

Hence when asking. So what could go wrong? the answer could simply be, Nothing at all. Yet the answerer knows that it is all wrong. Such would be the fate of the proverbial pit of Sheol.

    Professor Djian

In an old building of the Theliá State Government University at the banks of the Celèst River, Professor Oí Djian had his office where he reviewed data files, drew cross-relations and simply enjoyed the solitude of working with numbers. He was an old fashioned doctor still building his own electronic paper notebooks. He had enjoyed his work for many years that had kept him busy as faculty and as one of the most respected minds on Tærr. His assistants – some of his brightest students and a handful of fellow doctors alike, especially two bright men named Edejèm and Khé – loved him and even saw him as a father or grandfather figure, depending on each individual’s age.

As in most tragedies, something must always go ironically wrong. In this case, many things opted to go wrong one after the other. Numbers no longer made sense and the flashing lights of the built-in sirens in his lab Abahkus IV supercomputer had kept him and his assistants many weeks without sleep. If his data was right, chaos of doom and death would be prominent soon. According to the protocol that he had helped design, he needed to report his findings to World President Lord Oüd Khætü, but the red tape obliged him to talk first with the head of World Nation Security Agency – a fancy name for the head of an army that longer fought anyone, which doubled as a secondary World Police, in a delicately peaceful world nation – Captain Aiff Mahvia. Could it be that this agency had other purposes other than being army and police?

As a person who would not trust the red tape and the corruption that power brings, Djian allowed his assistants spread the news to less than respected outlets especially the Underground – a group of mostly unemployed hackers and misfits who got together to play hologram games, eat and mostly drink brews from the Ladies of His Holy Church of the South. Soon the news was spread through this outlet. Many members of the Underground were scared of what the data packets said. Some copies were even provided to interns and low-level staff in the news media hoping that someone somewhere would show light to these horrible findings if the World Government would fail to do so on time.

Captain Mahvia, sir, please take my reports to President Lord Khætü.

Professor Oí Djian, your reports sound like stories my grandmother used to tell me when I was a child in Ghît.

    Remembering those days, sir?

Of course, Mahvia said and quickly hesitated for a split second as he realized that he had broken character and then continued with his work tone. Sorry doctor, I must go and please don’t scare people with these silly stories of damnation – almost like fire and brimstone religious propaganda, that religious sham created to scare the less intellectual members of the society.

    But, sir?

No ‘buts,’ Professor Oí Djian! Captain Mahvia so rudely interrupted. Just keep your stupid stories to yourself.

As Mahvia was leaving the room, Djian merely complained in low voice, almost choking back his tears, The world is literally breaking apart and these idiots don’t want to listen. Why don’t they want to accept the data in my reports? Are they so thick!?

No one cares about stories like the world dying – no ratings, no glamor in breaking the story and such. Crime, politics, celebrities acting childish and sex make good stories. Nevertheless there is always a small group who listens. Sometimes it is the outcasts in a society who do not trust the government or anyone else. Sometimes it is the people in the media who lie as much as they tell the truth. In all, the problem is figuring out when they speak facts and when they deliver mere lies.

This was one of those times to hold on to one’s faith and pray while trying not to cry in pain. Being so rudely ignored, Djian thought that it might have not God’s will for him to be heard. Maybe he needed to allow someone else take this task. Regardless of the reason, it was not going to keep him quiet or still. He would fight to end of Tærr or his own.

    Breaking the News

A few days later, at the Thelián News offices (broadcast channel 7D), the head of the reporters, a young woman fresh out of two and a half years of university studies in mass behavior and control who had rejected her parents’ wishes of getting married to a young respectable man to settle down as good housewife, walked into the news floor. Her thin body, long legs and wavy red hair just fit perfect in her black suit. One could just hear how everyone stopped breathing when they heard her heels gently touched the floor. It was not fear. It was rather admiration to such young woman who had risen quickly from reporting the traffic to heading the news department. Mahid Jdéví entered and spoke quietly. After all, no one needs to shout when everyone is quiet and willing to hear one’s thoughts.

We just received a message from Professor Oí Djian.

Oí Djian from Theliá University? said one girl dropping her papers on the floor in sheer terror.

Yes, Laeé, the communication I received scared me maybe as much as his name has just scared you.

No, no, not scared, she quickly said. I’m rather shocked. He’s the most respected scientific minds of this third millennium, but his findings have been rejected and kept quiet from the common population.

    Very much, indeed.

    Oh ghekk!

I guess you know what the report says.

Well, I’ve heard some talk through the Underground News.

Don’t believe everything those Underground nerds say.

The girl looked somewhat puzzled. Before she could finish organizing her thoughts, her supervisor interrupted.

Although they’re usually right and I guess what you’ve heard as of late is right on this communication after all.
