60 Christian Messages for Spiritual Growth Volume 3 - Prasad Perera

    Introduction

I give all glory, honor, thanks and praise unto God our Father, Lord Jesus (Christ) and the precious Holy Spirit for the revelations and the grace to publish this ebook! In December 2017 we commenced sending-out Christian messages to a selected group of believers / followers to whom I believe I had a leading to send-out these messages to encourage them and to foster spiritual growth.

The messages contained in this 3rd volume of this series of ebooks titled ‘60 Christian Messages For Spiritual Growth’ contains the third set of 60 messages sent-out on WhatsApp to this initial group of believers (with few amendments to suit this ebook) through whom God’s miracles are to be witnessed to the world. (I must mention that the miracles have already started happening through them.) Further, I do not believe it is limited to this initial group as I am informed of them that as much as they are benefitted of these messages that they also forward these messages to other believers who also are being benefitted through them. Therefore, my dear reader I believe you too are chosen of God in a special way and that you would also benefit the same through these messages contained in this ebook.

I believe this 3rd ebook would most ideally suit mature believers and church leadership as it addresses church related issues (especially the last 20 messages) and carries an element of correction. However, anyone willing to learn would benefit from reading this ebook.

The messages contained in this ebook are expected to be read one per day as it would foster encouragement, learning and spiritual growth in you. (However, you are free to read as many messages as you like to suit your need.) While the messages are arranged in the order they were sent-out and you are encouraged to read them in order, it would also be good to choose messages that you think would help you according your current situation and need. You are also encouraged to re-read and meditate on Scriptures and messages that speak to you in a special way to obtain maximum benefit. Further, it would also be good to engage in further study of the Scriptures, topics and the revelations you receive through reading, meditating and practicing what is imparted to you through these messages. In the event you are new in the faith and that you had not read the two previous volumes of this series of ebooks I would like to encourage you to read them in order first.

The Scripture references in this ebook are taken from King James Version (KJV) of the Holy Bible.

The Lord bless you and keep you,

The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you:

The Lord lift-up His countenance on you and give you peace (shalom).

AND THEY SHALL PUT MY NAME (SHEM) UPON THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL; AND I WILL BLESS THEM.

    (Numbers 6:24 - 27)

    MESSAGE ONE

Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound!

    Romans 5:20

Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

The law came that the offence might abound. By the law man came to know his sinfulness. It did not help man to come out of sin but rather, offence abounded because man was carnal and the law was spiritual. But when grace came through Jesus Christ (He paid the price) where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. So, let us know that it is God who saved / saves us so, that the glory would rightly be His!

Let us not make grace law or grace freedom to sin for neither is right.

Let us give thanks, praise and glory to God our Savior for His abundant grace, for by grace are we saved, through faith (which too is a gift from God)!

    Amen.

    MESSAGE TWO

He is your praise and He is your God!

    Deuteronomy 10:21

He is thy praise, and He is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.

The Lord is our praise! He is our God. Let us praise Him for He is our praise and none other. He is worthy of all praise at all times, for it is He Who has done all these great and terrible things which our eyes have seen. He will do greater things for us now and in time to come, than which we have seen before! Let us praise Him with high praise for He is worthy! Praise brings / draws His power.

All praise be unto the Lord our God!

    Amen.

    MESSAGE THREE

My grace is sufficient for you!

    12 Corinthians 12:9

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Paul was being buffeted by a messenger of Satan. He prayed unto the Lord three times that it might depart from him. Now, this is not something that God gave. It was from Satan. The Lord said, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. The Lord’s enabling grace was sufficient for Paul, for the Lord’s strength was made perfect in Paul’s weakness. So, Paul gladly glories in His weaknesses, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake. He also takes pleasure in them. In them He desires
