About this ebook

Joseph was born a prince, but his brothers, who hated him for his dreams and his values, sold him into slavery in Egypt. Bought by Potiphar, captain of the kings guards, he was quickly made the head of the household, only to be sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit. Once more he stood out, and he was made assistant to the warden. One dream and lessons passed down to his children by his grandfather Abraham led to his promotion from slave to the second-highest position in Egypt. These lessons saved not just one man from the depths of prison but the entire world from a deep recession. Join Joseph as he tells you what made him successful personally as he took a nation through one of its worst periods of recession.

    FOREWORD

    by Roosevelt A. Marsden

    Master of Divinity

The pages of this book deliver a rare and captivating review of the life of Joseph, the eleventh son of Jacob (Israel). Genesis 37:3 states that Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colors. Jacob’s love, physically reinforced by the gift of this special coat, generated much bitter rivalry and hatred among the siblings. Author, Hugh Rowe, through the life of Joseph, cleverly reinforces the point that God supports our spiritual, emotional, and economic success when we exercise faith in him, in spite of one’s possible existence in a setting of jealousy and betrayal. Economic success, which is a preoccupation of most people, the author maintains, is based on the integral spiritual principle of team work, modeled by the Holy Trinity. Guided by Biblical precepts, one’s financial growth finds foundation in one great concept: the use of other people’s time, money, and influence.

Readers are also reminded that one’s integrity and humility are paramount to absolute exoneration and exaltation by Almighty God, as exemplified in Joseph’s elevation from the status of a slave to the head economic affairs in Egypt, then to prison, and back to his esteemed position as one of the supreme heads of Egypt. Hugh Rowe identifies and finds inspiration in the following as the undergirding principles to leading a successful Christian life, in which wealth can be amassed with the blessings of the Lord: Believe in God, have a plan that is spiritually sound, have a mentor that fears the Lord, never try to do it alone—build a team, do not be jealous of power: delegate, in networking offer your hand of help to others, make problem solving your primary goal, be a life long learner, be persistent, be forgiving, and have faith and hope in the Lord.

    FOREWORD

    by Clarence Price Jr.

    Pastor: Tiberian Baptist Church

    St. Albans, NY.

I have known Hugh Rowe for the past fifteen years. He has always been capable of making the connection between what he believes and how he lives his life. This phenomenon methodology plus his indelible desire to get it right, has not just enabled him to make the right choices, but has prompted his spirit to be traded with that of this great Biblical character.

Transformation is at its best difficult, but always possible. Hugh has been able bring out the spirit of Joseph by utmosting his own feelings and ideals. This book is evident of the great conviction Hugh nestles in his spirit. This work of love should be a required reading for all young men as they attempt to find their way through the maze of life.

Touching on most of the hot bed topics such as, trust, siblings, fraud and deceit, this work lays out a no non sense approach to life. Daniel Whyte III wrote in this book, (Letters to Young Black Men) the main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing. Mr. Rowe has managed to share Joseph’s life through his own eyes, while keeping the main thing the main thing. Blessings to all who partake.

    INTRODUCTION

Written centuries ago and dismissed by many as a book of fables, the Bible bears treasures between its covers. Not attractive to pirates of the Caribbean (or thieves from anywhere else, for that matter), these treasures are often thought to have little or no value at all, even to those who own a copy of the revered book. While these biblical treasures do not sparkle when exposed to
