My thanks is first to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for all he has done and is still doing for me. I truly have faith in Him, and He has led me to write this second book. I pray this book will have more people believe in and have faith in the Lord. This story is fiction, but the faith in and help of the Lord is true.

I want to thank all the people who have read my first book, The Children of Destiny. I hope they enjoyed it.

    Chapter 1

The plane kept rolling and turning as it traveled through the air. All of a sudden, something hit it. Everyone was hit with glass from the windows, coming from all directions. The kids were still clinging to Sandy and Len. Tom was hanging on and Al was trying to see, hoping they would get out of this darkness. Inwardly, they were all praying for God’s help.

The kids were scared but they knew the Lord always helped them and had faith that he would now.

Suddenly, the light came back and the plane stopped turning. Unfortunately, the engine was not working.

Everyone opened their eyes and looked out. They were still over the ocean. The pilot had no idea where they were after all they had just been through. The plane started to go down fast. Al knew that he had only four life jackets in the plane.

Suddenly, Sandy shouted, Look to the right, behind us. There is an island!

Al turned the steering wheel and to his amazement, the plane turned. It was heading straight for the island. He yelled, Everybody hold on! I don’t know where this plane is going to come down. We might have to swim. There are some life vests behind you Len.

Len handed one to Caleb, Mary Ruth and Sandy, but before they could even put it on, the plane hit the water. The wings instantly broke off, but the plane kept on skidding through the water. Unbelievably, it came on to the beach with a thud, as it hit the sand.

Tom flew forward and hit his arm on the dash. Luckily, Sandy, Len and the kids had their seat belts on, although Sandy’s neck flew forward as the plane came to a stop.

They sat there for a few minutes, catching their breath. Caleb then led them in prayer as they thanked the Lord for saving their lives.

They started to get out of what was left of the plane. They were all cut from the broken glass in the plane.

Tom got out and realized that his left arm was probably broken, as he couldn’t move it. Len noticed the look on his face and asked him what was wrong. Tom said, I think my arm is broken. Len took his shirt off and made it into a sling, put it around Tom’s neck and placed his arm in it. Leave it like this for the time being until we get something better to use.

    Sandy, is your neck hurting?

Just a little bit, don’t worry, I’ll be fine.

They were all in shock over what they had just been through.

Sandy said, How about we go sit under those palm trees until we all calm down.

They went over and sat down. After about ten minutes of complete silence, Al said, I think I’ll go over and check the plane out. I’m hoping the radio will work and I can call for help.

Tom said, That’s a good idea.

Hopefully the radio might work but I know the plane surly won’t.

Come on Caleb, let’s take a little walk and see if we can find anything we might need. Tom, you can stay here with Sandy and Mary Ruth. We won’t be gone very long, said Len.

They walked into the forest for about half an hour and began to hear a strange sound.

Caleb asked, What could that sound be?

Len smiled and said, I think I know! Follow me! They walked through the thick plants for about five minutes.

Len yelled, Look Caleb, up ahead, to the side!

I don’t see anything but trees.

Len lifted him up and said, Look now.

Caleb couldn’t believe his eyes. There was a beautiful waterfall about fifty feet high. Len and Caleb ran over to it. It was fantastic and so was the water beneath it. When the water got to a certain point, it went down a small river.

Len cried, Is this a miracle or what! They hugged each other.

If the radio is broken at least we’ll have water to drink and use.

As they looked around, they noticed some banana trees loaded with bananas.

Let’s take a bunch of bananas back with us. I know we’re all going to be hungry later, said Caleb.

They crossed the river in a shallow part and they both carried bananas back to the beach.

When they returned, Al was sitting with Sandy, Tom and Mary Ruth. As they saw Len and Caleb approach, they noticed the bananas.

Sandy said, How great! At least we’ll have something to eat later.

Len smiled and said, Not only did we find bananas, but we found a beautiful waterfall! We’ll have all the water we need for anything.

Al said, That’s really great, but the radio in the plane is completely broken up and there is no way of fixing it. The whole plane is a disaster. We are so grateful to God that we are alive. I have no idea how long we were turning in the sky, but according to the time on my watch, three hours have passed since we left the airport. I have no idea where we could be.

Sandy said, I was just thinking about my parents and how happy they were that the kids were found and were returning to their home. Now they’re going to be so shocked when we don’t arrive. There were so many people waiting to see us again. Your grandparents and all the wonderful people in PA. that were praying for the kids will be depressed and wondering what happened to us. The good thing about it is, I know everyone will keep on praying that we will be found and able to return home.

You’re right Sandy, Len said. The question is, how long will it be until we’re found or figure out some way to get in touch with someone?

Caleb said, Everything happens for a reason and I believe the Lord required us and put us here for a purpose.

Mary Ruth then spoke up, Right, and we will be here as long as we need to be. Just like we were at the factory. We were suffering along with the other kids but we finally were saved. The good news is, the other kids were also saved. If we wouldn’t have been there, they might never have been saved. We were there for a purpose and it was worth our suffering to save the other kids. God is always with us.

Amen, said Tom. I also have complete faith that my arm will heal and we will survive as long as we have complete faith in the Lord.

I also truly believe in the Lord and everything you all said is true! Al replied.

They all smiled and hugged each other.

    Chapter 2

There were hundreds of people at the Orlando airport waiting with Jane and Josh to see the kids get off the plane. Even the people from all the news stations were there with their cameras. They figured the kids would arrive around four o’clock.

Jane said to Josh, My watch says four thirty, why are they late?

Josh said, They probably had some things to do before they left. Keep calm! Don’t worry, they will soon be here.

Captain Hardy was also there. A little later he walked over to Jane and Josh and said, It’s now 5 P.M.. I’m sure nothing is wrong but I’m going over to the office and see if they can find out if they left yet. Maybe something is wrong with the plane.

Josh said, That’s a good idea. I’m sure everyone here is starting to wonder what’s going on.

Please let us know what you find out, okay? Jane asked.

Of course, you’ll be the first to know. Captain Hardy smiled at them as he turned around and headed for the office.

He entered the office and asked to speak to the man in charge. Within a minute, Ken West came over and introduced himself. Captain Hardy explained the situation to him.

Ken said, I know we didn’t get any radio message from Al. I will call the Nassau airport and find out if they left.

Ken went into his office and sat at his desk. He looked up the Nassau airport number and called them.

Hello, this is Nassau airport, Daniel speaking.

"Hi, this is Ken West from the Orlando airport in Florida. We were expecting a flight here from Nassau around 4 P.M. A man who works here, named Al, had his private plane. He was to pick up two of the children that were saved from a children’s slave factory that was recently found by two American men.

Daniel said, I know what you’re talking about, everyone here was in shock when they heard about it and many people took in the children until their parents are found. Thank the Lord for the two men from the U.S.A. who did this along with our police department! We had no idea such a thing was going on. As for Al, according to our papers he left here with five passengers which included two children at 3:10 P.M. this afternoon.

Ken asked, When he left did the plane seem all right?

Yes, he completely checked it out before he left. All pilots are required to do that.

The problem is, it’s now 5:10 and they still haven’t arrived.

That doesn’t sound right. It should take about an hour to get to Orlando from here. If he was having a problem, he didn’t notify us. We just assumed everything went all right. We can check in the vicinity, call Freeport, and find out if they heard anything. If something bad happened to Al’s plane and they crashed in the water, the chances of finding them would be very difficult. Even if they made it out of the plane and had a raft, that’s a big ocean out there. I will notify everyone who has a plane or a boat to be on the lookout. I am very sorry if something did happen.

Thank you for your help. We will also notify everyone here who has planes or boats, and we will have the U.S. Coastguard search for them. If you hear anything, please let me know right away.

Of course! I will be praying for them also.

    I will too. Bye.

Ken came back out to Captain Hardy and explained the circumstances to him. I’m going to notify the U.S. Coastguard and all the airports and marinas about what might have happened.

Captain Hardy was stunned! I just can’t believe this! Not only were the kids on the plane, but Tom, the man who searched for them for months and finally found them, my officer Len, who helped him rescue the kids, Sandy, his fiancée, and my good friend, Al, the pilot. Sandy’s parents are out here waiting for them. They are going to be so upset when they hear this! Please keep in touch with me if you hear anything, Here is my phone number in St. Cloud. I have to go now and tell them the news. Thank you for your help.

I’m so sorry this happened and I certainly will call you the minute I hear anything!

Captain Hardy walked out of the office in shock. Oh Dear God, I pray this didn’t happen. I really don’t want to go and tell this to Jane and Josh, but I have no choice.

As Jane and Josh watched Captain Hardy approach, they could tell something must have happened. Captain Hardy told them the entire situation so far, said how the coast guard and people here, and over in the Bahamas would be on the look out for them.

Jane and Josh hugged each other and cried. Jane said, I am so upset, but I feel very strongly that they’re all right.

The captain asked them if they would like to ride home with him and have one of the officers drive their car.

Josh said, We really thank you but I know Jane will be able to drive. She has true faith in the Lord, and she will not let anything take it away. I feel the same way.
