I am a first time author wishing to convey my feelings and moral beliefs. My desire is for my grandchildren and future leaders have a foundation upon which to build a good moral character. Life has its difficulties and sometimes a simple poem has just what it takes to pull us through to the next challenge. My poems are pieces of me placed in this book as a guide for you. To my wife, who has been the inspiration and motivation behind many of my poems. I give her credit for prompting me to take time for myself. Without her, my poetry would lack many of the intense feelings expressed.

I would also like to recognize my friends and family members for their encouragement. My experiences with those close to me have shaped many of my opinions, morals, and feelings.

My poetry is a culmination of feelings from my life’s experiences. The words and rhymes stem from deep emotions. Poignant past encounters have prompted many of the hooks that developed into poems. I feel blessed and inspired from above.
