About this ebook

Losing a loved one is a painful, life changing experience. No one can really know how you feel. Even After That travels through the grief over the death of a loved one to the path of healing and recovery. The collection of easily read and understood poems deals with everyday events and the feelings a survivor may encounter. The book is illustrated with photographs inspired by the content of the poems.
In the words of the recently widowed author, For those of you who have been torn apart from your life partner, for those of you who have not, I open my heart to share with you the tapestry of loving and losing to perhaps make it easier for you.

Author

Judith de Wilde

Previously published as a children’s author, with this book the writer breaks into a new genre. Her works for children were begun while obtaining her Masters Degree in Education from The College of New Jersey. In this same time period she wrote and developed the curriculum for the pre-first class in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. This became the model for classes across the state. Until now her writing for the adult audience has consisted of magazine articles dealing with a variety of topics. The past eight years found the author filling a new role, caregiver for her husband of fifty years following a catastrophic stroke. Upon his death, searching for comfort, she found solace in writing through her grief. The result is a collection of free form poems dealing with the steps of grieving and finding the road to recovery. Now living in a small town in Southern New Jersey she couples her writing with her hobby of photography.
