About this ebook

While fame is always admired by everyone, it can prove to be quite a struggle. There is always a mountain to climb, and there is always a rock to break. People expect great things of you. It is not an easy life to live.

That struggle faces Eliot, a warrior and solider in thirteenth-century Britain, as he begins to achieve greatness. He encounters the rigors of life and still manages to stand upright in the face of trials and tribulations.

What a glorious honour for a mighty man of valour!

    Dedication

With the whole of my heart, I am dedicating this book to a man who is much dear to me. He is a man indeed, such a wonderful being. Such a man with a loving heart; such a great writer with a humble heart, I did not know him until one day I ventured on him, and he was there to stand by me, a young unlearned writer, with crude of talents. This man gave necessary advice and assistance to me, what a great man. Sir, you deserve lots of gratitude from me, than words, but what can I do or say better, than to say thank you, in a million times. Indeed, you’re a father, though not my biological father, but you’re a good father. It’s your wealth of advice that as keep me thus far, if not, I could have lost interest in writing profession. It was ten years ago that I met you. Thank you, sir. Thank you, Mr. S.A. Ogundimu of MAPOLY.

Narrator:      This is an ancient Britain, in the year 1200 AD. The morning is good and lovely to look at:      she smiles also. People passes bye!

A young man opens the window of his house to see the morning look. He smiles when he sees that she looks romantic and splendid, attractive to. He calls his friend that is passing by.

Eliot:      Hey! Harris (The man doesn’t hear at first. Eliot shouts again to get his friend’s attention). Common, answer me. Harris! (The man turns. He is such are short man, a humorous and very bravery in battle. He’s an axe-fighter, a skilled man. He turns to where the voice comes from, and sees his friend).

    Harris:      How are you?

    Eliot:      I’m fine, and you?

    Harris:      I too.

    Eliot:      Where are you going?

    Harris:      To hunt.

    Eliot:      Animals or man?

    Harris:      Both (They laugh)

Eliot:      H’m! That’s wonderful, but the animals might not have woken up by now. (He looks into the sky) It’s still early.

Harris:      Early! It’s not early for such person like me. (He rubs his mouth). But for somebody like you, who is just waking up by now. It may be early.

    Eliot:      Okay then. Bye!

Harris:      Don’t say bye yet! I want you to go with me.

    Eliot:      Me?

    Harris:      Yes.

Eliot:      I’ve not taken my birth.

Harris:      It’s good like that (He turns aside and whispers something to the air) Lazy man.

Eliot:      (He knows Harris is abusing him. He looks, and sees a little stone, and he throws it at him. Harris dodged and laughs). God saves you. (Eliot is a good shooter. His father was a great warrior; he was the chief to his people. He trained him).

    Harris:      You’ve wasted my time.

    Eliot:      And you too.

    Harris:
