About the Author
Balancing an early interest in both science and the arts, Lee Paul grew up in Brooklyn, New York, went to college in Marietta, Ohio, worked for oil companies in Williston, North Dakota, and Falfurrias, Texas, acted in the theater in Cincinnati, Ohio and Charlotte North Carolina, and was an officer in the Air Force in Reno, Nevada and King Salmon, Alaska. With the chance to travel extensively, he finally found his own personal Yellow Brick Road
which led him to Hollywood, and a career in Television and Films. After 25 years and over a 100 appearances on camera
in episodic series and commercials, his deep interest in life and living has prompted him to extract some of the important lessons gleaned from an insatiable curiosity about all around him. Always asking why, or why not, he wanted to learn more and constantly attempted to increase his vision and knowledge. Lee found there were others he knew, who longed to improve and grow as individuals as well, but were not sure of the road to take, or the path to follow. Their uncertainty proved the inspiration for Bitch, Pitch and get Rich.
For those who peruse its pages, he offers a sincere wish that they find the inspiration and direction to make themselves a most successful part of this fascinating and challenging world. Practice the principles and find:
Success at the tip of your Tongue
I would like to dedicate this book
to the memory of my father, Leon J. Kroll,
who was one of the great raconteurs,
to Mr. David Blossom, who was instrumental
in my education and my many travels,
and to the confidants and acquaintances who have so enriched my life.
May I also extend a special thanks
to the following friends
who have given suggestions and support
in the writing of this book:
William Pugsley
Sterling von Franck
John Nolan
William D. Stern
and my wife, Kathy Kroll, without whose motivation and direction, this book would never been completed.
PREFACE
Almost 20 years ago I wrote Bitch, Pitch and get Rich
a self-help book with a different approach. I used a number of personal stories to underscore the lessons to be practiced for individual enrichment and development.
In these present economic times, the lessons and exercises outlined in the book those many moons ago, have become even more relevant and significant today. In fact, I find myself reaffirming the simple but powerful strategies highlighted in Bitch, Pitch and get Rich
to help me focus my own thinking and outlook today.
To have the confidence and self-esteem to tackle life’s obstacles and not only succeed, but also enjoy the challenge, seems a worthy and meaningful goal. Bitch, Pitch and get Rich
was written with the assurance that those who practice the easy, yet powerful ideas advanced between its covers will both prosper and find their own personal path to success.

INTRODUCTION
We all want to reach the top of the mountain, whether we have actually seen it or thought about it. It’s a noble goal and we must train our mind, body and spirit, and work hard and well, to achieve it.
But this book is not only about achieving the heights, it is about the byways, so often missed by those who only scramble for the top, as well. It is also about those who look only at their feet, lest they fall along the way.
Always recall that to falter is not to fail.
Some of us are natural climbers, while others of us dread losing our grip or our direction. And so it is in life and in living as well. The joy of discovery, the challenge of curiosity, and the thrill of self improvement, are often dulled by the fear of failure or the lack of confidence needed to succeed. Do you:
A. Have trouble expressing yourself?
B. Find you can’t remember things?
C. Feel afraid to speak up?
D. Dislike the sound of your voice?
E. Find yourself being verbally pushed
