Bryan Worn
Bryan Worn began his professional life as a Chartered Accountant in 1972. Over the years he has owned and operated several diverse kinds of businesses including accounting, retail, wholesale, manufacturing, financial planning, property and hospitality. The typical and atypical challenges during the rollercoaster ups and downs of being a business owner provided the invaluable experience and practical “street smarts” he shares in The Hero’s Journey to Business Success. One core affirmation is the cornerstone of his coaching program: Everyone can affect change in their lives when they really want to.Bryan believes that just as a city is a collection of smaller villages that creates one large identity, a large business is a collection of smaller ones with a common goal and culture. How a business flourishes or withers is determined by the quality of the relationships and teamwork of its staff, clients and customers.“Small businesses have many of the same problems as big businesses, but they often lack the necessary resources to deal with them. If every small business employed just one more person, unemployment wouldn’t be a problem.”Always seeking ways to become a better business leader, Bryan continues to educate himself about the machinations of life and the people who keep the world running. “When you’re green you’re growing,” he says. “When you’re ripe you’re rotting.”He also believes the cheapest mistakes to learn from are the ones other people make:“I was inspired to write this book for people who started (or will start) their own business to gain freedom from working for others. But their dream became a nightmare because they didn’t have the tools or information to succeed. The observations I made of successful business owners was a great source of inspiration for me to build my Hero’s Journey platform.Just like seeing your child take their first steps or hearing them say their first sentence, watching people flourish in new ventures or turning around existing ones by using the skills, techniques and inspiration I teach gives me a great buzz!”Bryan is an accredited EXTENDED DISC© Consultant and Trainer; master practitioner of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP); Certified Social and Emotional Intelligence coach; and licensee of Brian Tracy International. He is also a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, and holds a diploma in financial planning.Though he was born in Ireland, Bryan has called Australia home for the past 30 years with his wife, four grown children and two grandchildren. He competes in half-marathons, and has retained his Irish love for the craic and enjoyment of many sports, particularly rugby. When he’s not developing new coaching programs he meditates, is an avid reader, and enjoys all kinds of music for inspiration. For further information about Bryan Worn – “The Clarity Coach” – you can email him at:bryan@claritycoach.com.au, and/or visit his website at: www.claritycoach.com.au

"Sometimes the river flows but nothing breathes.
A train arrives but never leaves, it's a shame.
Oh, life like love that's walked out of the door,
Of being rich or being poor, such a shame.
But it's then, then that faith arrives
To make your feelings alive.
And that's why, you should keep on aiming high.
Just seek yourself and you will shine.
In this life, long and hard though it may seem,
Live it as you'd live a dream.
Aim so high, just keep the flame of truth burning bright.
The missing treasure you must find.
Because you and only you alone
Can build a bridge across the stream,
Weave your spell in life's rich tapestry.
Your passport to a feeling supreme.
You've got to search for the hero inside yourself —
Search for the secrets you hide.
Search for the hero inside yourself
Until you find the key to your life."

Managing Business Relationships
Although starting and operating a business can be rewarding, it can also have its fair share of challenges. However, since small to medium-sized enterprises and family-owned businesses are here to stay, there's a plethora of information that can help you achieve great business success and overcome any challenges and obstacles.
Regulatory organizations, banks, accountants, lawyers, marketing and advertising consultants, and staff recruitment firms all provide resources and tools to help you through the maze of ownership and management issues.
During my 40 years of working in and owning a number of successful businesses in diverse industries, I learned many invaluable lessons and skills. But the most important was there is no business without successful relationships!
The outcome of your encounters is often predicated by your relationships with others. After all, life is about the many types of relationships you have and how you manage them. Sometimes you have to have to develop relationship strategies, and at other times you need to rely on your gut intuition.
Whether you're running a business that employs people, or you're a sole operator, the information, advice and stories contained within this guide will help you better understand and manage your relationships that are the building blocks of a successful, sustainable business.
Why Was The Hero's Journey
Picked For a Title?
The relationship with yourself is the main focus of The Hero's Journey to Business Success.
Traditionally, the Hero's Journey describes the adventures of a person who goes out into the world, and achieves great deeds for themselves or on behalf of whoever or whatever they feel they must do the deed for. The Hero treks through a series of confrontational experiences, and becomes the person they need to be to reach their 'pot of gold.'
As a good example, the movie The Matrix
(1999) with Keanu Reeves follows Thomas Anderson's Hero's Journey (who's living a double life as the hacker, Neo). Neo launches himself into an artificial world where the protagonists use humans (connected by cables to an electrical system) to further their aims.
The movie opens with Neo living a very uninspiring ordinary life as a computer programmer. His call to adventure comes in the form of a mysterious phone call that gives him a series of instructions to follow. He meets his mentor, Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), who becomes an ally because he believes Neo is the one
who will end the war between humans and machines.
Without giving too much of the storyline away, Neo crosses the first threshold into an alternate world, and engages allies and enemies during his journey to help free the enslaved humans.
His supreme ordeal comes when he must make sacrifices and risk death to save others. His reward comes in the form of acceptance of his true purpose: That he is indeed the one
who will end the war. The road back is a return to his former world, and the story culminates with Neo returning with the elixir. (Please take the time to watch the movie if you haven't seen it!)
Be Your Own Hero
A hero is a man or a woman who defies adversity by doing what h or she believes is right in spite of fear.
~Anthony Robbins
In business, The Hero's Journey is a successful blueprint for achieving the results you want with important lessons along the way.
According to William H. Johnson (African-American Harlem Renaissance Painter, 1901-1970), If it is to be, it's up to me.
If you continually rely upon people or external events to create change in order to make things better, you'll be sorely disappointed and you'll never achieve your potential. If you desire change, you need to make it happen. You need to be your own hero because no
