American Abroad: The Struggles of Youth
()
About this ebook
Five years, three computers and one notebook later and my story of American Abroad is now complete. This is the story of my adolescence to my adulthood. It is a story of how I came from being a boy to how I have come to be a man.
Throughout my story I had to overcome and also succumb to the passions of life. I learned to live and love as I learned to speak and stand.
I hope this story helps you to learn to address your own life story and complete it as you should. You will see that my stumbling created a movement toward correction after I learned to look optimistically ahead. I had to learn to love and embrace my hardships in order to stand tall with all of my blemishes.
This story was written as a bold move in order to spur national correction through the impact of one man, or one woman, or one child. My wish is that its pages jolt you to make a move to be an American Abroad.
Charles Glenn
Charles Glenn is a goal orientated man who has learned through his youthful struggles that the way to become something is by setting goals. His story of American Abroad: The Struggles of Youth tells the tale of many young people. His story is of his own personal reflection of learning to master life’s mistakes. Charles Glenn’s own youthful troubles mirror common middle class hardships in today’s American teens. He hopes his audience feels inspired to set goals for themselves and learn about laughing off mistakes with earnest after reading his book. Charles’ roots are in Oklahoma. He was born in Alabama and raised as a native Oklahoman. He attended and earned a Bachelors Degree in History at the University of Oklahoma. It was while at OU that Charles was inspired to tell his story of how he got there. He began tackling his story while studying abroad in France. He completed it as he moved back to Oklahoma, then Texas and finally Arkansas. With each move, he has met influential and inspiring people who have helped him to focus on his life choices while he wrote his story. Through his travels and transitions, his story of boyish blunders turned quickly into a tale of turning those negative moments in life into positive accomplishments.
