Mama’s Little Children
My brothers and sisters will soon find out, its time to come clean and open our hearts! Staying so, so, quiet and not uttering a word, heck, our little hearts can no longer afford! Once we let go, and let God be our guide, wait and see, the whole world will open wide! You pray while you cry, it’s a feeling you can’t control. It’s because in our hearts, there are stories to be told! We are just little apples falling from our tree, but we can’t go far, how can this be? Our mother died, but didn’t leave us alone. She had to die, but she will never be gone. Yes, June 6th Mama cried while she died, but her blood and tears were left, so that our hearts would blossom and open wide. So, close your eyes and open your hearts, then you will see, Mama’s little children won’t ever fall far from the tree!

About The Author
Preface
What if someone told you that you could be the happiest you have ever been in your life? What if they told you, if you follow this plan, then you are guaranteed a long and peaceful life? When you are sitting there and wishing that your life were different or better, know that there is a way to change your life in an instant! You can change your life immediately! I guarantee it! I did it! I changed my life immediately. Immediately, when I asked Jesus to guide me. Oh, I am not even close to where I want to be. Well, let me take that back. I am where I have always wanted to be. Trying to be the best Christian I can be.
I got so tired of me! I want to say something and I know that I am going to have to prove what I am about to say, and I will. I know you are saying, Another book about accomplishing goals. Writing down goals. Not again!
You will not believe this, but it is true and I am going to prove it to you. You already have goals. Yes, you do! You just don’t write them down. Let me explain. If you only go to church one Sunday a month, then that is your goal. You may or may not have said that to someone, but that is your goal. Write it down and see what it makes you feel like.
• You said in your mind you are going to church one Sunday a month.
• You know what it will take to do this.
• And you have made up your mind to do what it takes to make this happen.
All I am asking you to do is to do what you have been doing, but do it for the Lord. You have goals and I know it is time to change them just a little bit. Let’s try something else. Let’s say you are trying to lose weight. And you say your goal is to lose as much as you can. You are constantly gaining. You continue to eat the fast food everyday. Your exercise plan is does not exist. So your goal really is to gain weight, and you have found out what it takes, and you are willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish that goal. You are making it happen. You can change this goal and this behavior, in Jesus’ name, and with his help. The Bible tells us what to do in situations like this.
In the book of Luke chapter 16 verses 2, 3, 4, and 8, the Bible says, " And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses. And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light."
Be a good steward over what God has blessed you with, then you will be accomplishing goals you want to accomplish. Your goals and God’s goals will be one in the same! We all have things we can work on. I needed to make a change, and the only way I could was to go to Jesus in a way I never had! I went from the Projects of Gary, Indiana, to doing ceremonies at the Pentagon, not just physically, but mentally too. I grew in Jesus’ name! We all have things we are trying to accomplish, and mine was to get out of the projects, and to do all that I could do for Jesus. This book is a book that will take you places. Places you want to go in the name of Jesus! I want you to know wherever you are, all things are possible through Christ.
There were three things I had to do after I asked Jesus to lead me.
• First, I had to find out what I wanted to do.
• Second, I had to find out how I could get it done.
• Finally, I had to make up my mind to do what it takes!
• Do it all in Jesus’ name!
I know that sounds like four things, but everything you do should be in Jesus’ name. Do just like I was doing before. Except do them in Jesus’ name.
I was full of promises. Lord, if you help me out of this one…
Oh yeah, that was the only way I knew. What I realized when I would go to Jesus promising what I would or could do; I took Jesus right out the picture. I lived in the projects of Gary, Indiana my entire childhood. I made a habit of saying, God, if you help me make it out of these projects and help get me home safely, I will …
When I grew up and started doing ceremonies for the US Coast Guard at the Pentagon, I would say, If you could help me make it through President Reagan’s speech without falling flat on my face I will…
Well, I made it out of the projects and I enjoyed my jobs at the Pentagon, no matter how hot it got out there.
If I had known about the plan, and the way God wants me to live my life, then I could have saved myself a whole lot of heartache and pain, with God’s help of course. There was a plan that I failed to follow. I am known for how I like to write down my goals and plans. There is already an entire book written with an awesome plan, the Bible. If we follow this plan, we will be able to go from the Projects to the Pentagon.
Let me tell you, Ronald Reagan was a pretty good speaker. I remember hearing about him when I was hanging in the projects, and then I had the opportunity to stand and listen to a lot of his speeches. I was truly blessed. I tell you believe in Jesus and he will bless you. I am truly blessed also to have you read my book. 3 simple steps! Thank you and God Bless!
Darryl
Chapter One
How do I grow spiritually?
Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him is the glory both now and forever. Amen.
2 Peter 3:18
How do I grow spiritually is something I have struggled with for many years. I have learned one thing; to grow spiritually you have to learn you can‘t do it by yourself. So, I sat down and realized that
