How To Become A Complete Christian Woman - Yolanda Holmes

    Who Am I?

We get so busy with life and all our obligations that we forget who we are. Maybe you're one who has gone through so much in your life that you were never able to find out who you are. Perhaps you're a wife and a mother who works full time, but because you have no time to breathe, you've forgotten you exist. Starting today, you will begin by asking yourself some questions. When asking yourself questions, be sure to put some thought into them. You might think that some of them are kind of shallow, and others you may not have any answers to, but it's okay either way. Don't be hard on yourself. Allow yourself some time, so you can always come back and write them in later. Remembering that this is a new journey, and to everything, there is a beginning.

Asking yourself questions is essential on your walk with Christ. It will cause you to take a more in-depth look inside yourself. You see, when we were in the world, we functioned as the world. It is so easy to get lost in the distractions of the world. It can cause us to lose who we are, what we like, or even what we want. Years later, we have found that we have just been going along with what we thought we knew because it is what everyone else does. A lot of times, we are heading in a direction that is far from the will of God. Sometimes the goals we often set are influenced by the world, not the word. We just tend to go with the flow, not thinking about anything else until something happens that stops us in our tracks. So, asking ourselves questions is one way to stop and consider the path we're on, to recognize that there's a better way.

When I ask myself questions, I get answers that lead to revelations. I have discovered that my reaction to things has sometimes been the effect of something from my past. Not realizing how much I was affected. Certain moments caused me to behave in ways that could have been avoided. When you notice a reaction, this is time to pay attention to yourself. It is now time to be real and honest on this journey.

I find that we tend to deal with things that trouble us by pushing things to the back of our minds rather than dealing with them. We must learn to face and let go of these things because they will stop us from moving forward.

So let's begin by answering these questions to see where you are. Dig deep! It is well worth it. Open up and be honest. You are getting to the root of you. It's time to break free and do you!

God has all of it under control, you belong to Him, and now you just have to show it.
