About this ebook

"Angels: A book for self realization through angels and your personal guides-" is a quick-read.

"Synchronicity: Coincidence, Happening at the Same Time, Simultaneous" is a quick-read. Your free will is important, but it can also block help from your angels and guides. Unless you are totally aware of what is in your best interest, you could take too many wrong turns and end up in the wrong place; something that would not happen if you were in touch with your angels and guides-more importantly, if your angels and guides can get in touch with you.

Several years ago, while I was sleeping, I saw in white script lettering, “Write about life” then a very long white line “4th book.” At the time I thought, What can I write about that I haven’t already written that would be of interest to any reader? Having recently left a position at a local college, I have had time to think more about what that could be, since I am taking this as an assignment. Here it is, a Novelette … Sylvia Lavey earned a master of arts degree and has had careers in advertising and higher education, as well as being a naturalist. She has written three books about her personal experiences with angels: Synchronicity; Auras, Chakras, and Energy Fields; and Angels. Lavey has also appeared as a guest author on the subject. She currently lives in Ohio.

My story begins in the spring of

    2005...

You could say it all started with the cats—stray cats, this is—but that would not be completely true, as you will see.

There were three of them, all domestic shorthaired cats: a white-and-gray spotted one, a golden yellow one, and a white one with black spots. All three came running up to me as I walked down the sidewalk, having just arrived home from work one evening. I remember how they startled me since they seemed to have come out of nowhere. They were all meowing and running along beside me, vying for my attention—which they didn’t need to do, since they’d snagged it from the beginning.

That very same evening I went out and bought a bag of dried cat food. It was the cheapest, smallest bag on the shelf. Why? Because I remembered the last time I tried feeding a stray cat. I fed him once, and then didn’t see him again until almost a year later when I found him sleeping on the hood of my car. I wondered where he had been, pieces of dried grass and mud clung to his fur. When I tried to get him to move, so I could drive my car, he lifted his head and let out a loud meow as if to say, No!—then laid his head down and went back to sleep. Perhaps, I thought, he needed food. He was so scrawny. I went back in the house, got a piece of fresh turkey, and laid it down next to the car. He jumped down from the hood, ate the turkey, then went on his way. This black stray reminded me of what a colleague had told me a number of years before—that in ancient Persia, black cats were a sign of good luck.

Later, at the gym where I exercised, I talked with a Quo Do practitioner who was also a member of the club, and something in our conversation came up about good luck signs. I asked whether he had ever heard that seeing a black cat in your path was good luck. I told him about the black cat on the hood of my car, how I tried to lure him with some food, and how, finally, he moved. The Quo Do practitioner said he thought the cat was there to keep me from leaving when I wanted to. Then I vaguely recalled hearing sirens in the distance as I worked to remove the cat.

So, maybe the black cat had been good luck after all.
