Psalm 23 may be the most quoted scripture of the Bible. Psalm 23 has been used in Hollywood to every day neighborhoods. They are words we run to during times of trouble, but, why?

The answer contains a spiritual and material wealth, which has transformed countless lives across the globe. I’ve personally experienced its power to cancel poverty, fear, and changed the course of my life forever.

The Lord is My Sheppard; I Shall Not Want.

The book you are holding in your hand is going to change your life. Having this book shows something special about you, that you are convinced God has a plan for you to live prosperous, to show loving kindness toward you, and give you His best.

Charles Spurgeon once said, ‘The Lord is my shepherd; if he be a Shepherd to no one else, he is a Shepherd to me; he cares for me, watches over me, and preserves me.’

My journey starts at fourteen. My 6’1" frame lay on a twin-sized bed in my mother’s cozy apartment. The room echoed into the night. Often no one was home. This night was no different.

My mother worked 3rd shift at a hospital. Every night she caught the last bus shortly before it exited the station. On school nights, I stayed up just long enough to hear the front door chime as she entered the apartment. The clock usually read 11:58 PM. I could hear momma’s bags ruffle as she tossed them on the living room couch, and I’d peel my eyes wide enough to make out her shadowy slender figure walk past and in a low tone say, It’s me, Terrance.

I’d know momma was home safe. I’d wait to hear the sound of water filling the tub in the bathroom we shared. Usually the sound would lull me into a deep sleep, but this time something was different. Before I closed my eyes, I thought, if only someone was watching over me. Little did I know, my life would never be the same again.

As I lay still, a picture began forming in my mind. It was of an old science fiction movie; The War of The Worlds. As the picture began moving, I could see the preacher character walking towards the alien craft while reciting The Lord is my Shepherd. before being zapped to death.

Until that time, I thought that movie scene was comical. As I lay still on my bed in the dark I was afraid for my life and began to feel like someone had zapped me. I closed my eyes tightly and began to repeat the same words. As warm tears ran down my cheeks, I sobbed and fell asleep.

Friend, 3 John 2 is a covenant promise that God still speaks. By reading this living word, it is clear that the Heavenly Father desires for you to prosper right where you are and in every area of your life. Discover a path full of meaning, blessing, and prosperity.
