Power Pressure Cooker XL - R.M. Lewis

    Conclusion

    Introduction

Congratulations on downloading your personal copy of Power Pressure Cooker XL Cookbook. Thank you for doing so.

If you're not familiar with the Power Pressure Cooker XL, then let me introduce you to your new popular kitchen appliance. The pressure cooker cooks your food 70% faster than a regular oven. The locked in place lid, that traps all the heated steam inside, is the reason why the pressure cooker cooks so much faster. It also forces moisture and liquid into your food, so that comes out moist, tender, and full of flavor.

The great thing is all you have to do is press one button to start cooking. Pretty much all of the buttons will cook the same. That means if you’re not sure which button you need to press, you can press any of them and your food will still come out amazing.

Fish/Veg/Steam – cooks for two minutes. You can press the time selector to switch between four or ten minutes.

Beans/Lentils – cooks for five minutes. You can press the time selector to switch between 15 or 30 minutes.

Rice/Risotto – cooks for six minutes. You can press the time selector to switch between 18 or 25 minutes.

Soup/Stew – cooks for ten minutes. You can press the time selector to switch between 30 or 60 minutes.

Meat/Chicken – cooks for 15 minutes. You can press the time selector to switch between 40 or 60 minutes.

There's also a canning button, a slow cook button that cooks for two, six, and 12 hours, Cancels/Keeps Warm button, and a delay timer.

Also, while it may not have a sauté button, you can still sauté food in this pressure cooker. All you have to do is make sure the lid is off of the pot and press any of the pressure cooking buttons. The meat/chicken button is best because it has the longest cooking time.

This book includes ethnic food recipes from around the world. The cultural food recipes included are American, Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Mediterranean and Thai.

Now that we have the basic information out of the way, let’s get to what you came here for, delicious food. Enjoy!

    American

The United States is a varied and rich blend of cultures, religions, and people. This diversity is shown in its cuisine. Waves of immigrants, including the ones who are arriving on the shores today, have brought new traditions and adapted them to the customs, kitchens, and ingredients they found in their new home. This expands what everyone calls American Food.

Despite the popularity of many ethnic cuisines, it is the Italian and Chinese that dominate this field.

Chinese cooks that arrived to cook for their fellowmen that were working on the railroad in the West did not have a lot to work with, but they put vegetables and what little meat they had in their pans. This type of cooking moved across the country, and a new cuisine was born: Chinese-American complete with spare ribs, chicken chow mein, fried rice, wonton soup, and egg rolls.

Some time later came the large one: Italian-American food. This was a real champion of the cuisine in the United States where veal parmigiana, meatballs, manicotti, lasagna, and pizza have a large role in the everyday eats of the United States citizens.

Americans were asked to choose what foods they thought of as being American. Thirteen percent thought that hot dogs were American. Twenty percent thinks that apple pie is American. Twenty-nine percent said cheeseburgers and hamburgers were American. There were two other foods listed, and they were fried chicken at seven percent and barbecue at nine percent.

So here are our 7 favorite and the most popular American food recipes. If you’re an American, you likely had all these foods before, but here are the recipes to easily make them at home with your Power Pressure Cooker XL.
