About this ebook

She's a thrill seeker and he's more or less along for the ride, wanting to take part in her adventures and yet never quite matching the pace of his wife. They're in the Himalayas, hiking through the most dangerous of routes, when a storm forces them to seek shelter.

And it is there, in the shelter of a cave, that Abigail's lusts rise, wanting her husband even as he, Jodan, encourages her to explore deeper. What they don't realise, however, is that there is very much more for them to explore with the tease of beasts that reside and hide deep within the caverns...

But will Abigail rise to the challenge of the yeti?

Digging the pick into the ice, the man narrowed his eyes against the rising wind. Jadon Chambers’ gear was brightly coloured, perhaps overly so, for climbing one of the most dangerous peaks in the Himalayas, if not the highest, the man muttering under his breath as he scaled the treacherous route. Going up nearly vertically, he could only trust the ropes to hold him, a shapeless figure beneath the cold weather gear. And he wasn’t so sure after all just how much he could trust those.

Jadon should have been able to see more than simple snow and rock before him, but the first shards – not flakes – of snow cut into his face like the blades of many knives, seeking out every bit of warmth he had left in his body to sap it from his very veins. He’d been on many hikes before, all with his wife, who accompanied and dragged him out on each and every one, but something about the Himalayas held a raw aura of the untamed that had caught him each and every time. But now it seemed destined to defeat him, body and mind.

Jadon grunted and struggled, heaving up and up and up to where the line of white suddenly cut off into something softer – another mountain? Another peak? No matter where it was: it boded a rest and he put every ounce of strength into reaching that as his goggles slipped and ice froze into crystal lines in his hair.

And then he was there, up and over with a gasp and a sigh that may have been longer coming than he would have liked to admit. His heart pounded and yet he still had the presence of mind to offer his hand down to his wife, Abigail, for her to take. However, she batted it lightly aside, hauling herself up by the ropes to join him, cheeks red and rosy with vitality and that thrill for life he’d always loved about her. With the snow goggles obscuring her vision, she wiped them clear of snow and let out a triumphant cry, raising a fist to the elements. And, in that moment, it seemed that nothing could or would defeat her, her defiance echoing along the winding paths of the wind.

Taking her by the shoulders, Jadon drew her in close to the rock face and under an overhang that held the marks of travellers long past. He wondered how many of those had never made it to their destination and pushed the thought from his mind as swiftly as it had appeared.

We’ve got to get out of this! He shouted, putting his mouth close to her ear to be heard. We’ve got to keep going up – find shelter!

Stubbornly, Abigail shook her head and, although her lips moved, he could not hear. Cursing faintly under his breath – not that the
