Donna Nieri

Donna Nieri was raised primarily in several isolated mining towns throughout Nevada. Her childhood was laced with neglect and emotional abuse from parents addicted to alcohol and gambling. She writes on those experiences in order to share with others how she found deliverance and hope.Donna now lives in Reno Nevada with her two dachshund dogs Sammy and Tommy Lou. Donna divides her time between long walks with her dogs and writing. She is also an avid bird lover breeding exotic small birds and caring for her African Violet collection. She has a deep desire to address child abuse issues by reaching out with her writings. Seasons

For all things there is

a season, and a reason

for everything.

A time to be born,

a time to die.

A time to plant, a

time to uproot.

A time to weep, a

time to laugh.

A time to mourn, a

time to dance.

A time to tear, a

time to mend.

A time of war, a

time of peace.*

A Garden Enclosed

Rumblings of the earth

from within,

earth turning inside out.

Shallow roots expanding,

responding to light,

springing into life.

Conclusus hortus!

A garden once

rushing wild, now

lush with contentment,

ponds of serenity,

swans spooning,

roses and lilies

blooming.

On beauty now gazing,

fruits of life now

tasting.

This enclosed garden is

opening!

Grief

Six years, less 4 months

making seven,

an event happened.

It was never thought

to happen,

one of those things

that happens to

someone else but

never to her.

Call in the night

forbidding,

she is shaking,

for him looking.

A child missing,

never returning.

To stay or go she

is wondering,

it is perplexing.

Watching him grow,

playing and laughing

always hoping,

praying his life

would be happy and

lasting.
