    - For those who have been crushed as a result of Child Abuse -

Not to counsel, But to comfort Quote by: Janice Hermsen

    Crushed Violets

    They lie withered,

    Blue violets pressed

    To the ground,

    Trodden under foot by

    Humanities boot. All is

    Silent, not a sound.

    Lavender and blue

    Covered with dew, each

    Petal is bruised. Small

    Yellow eyes, saddened,

    Look down.

    Leaves of green,

    Streaked with brown,

    Bleed from the

    Offender's frown.

    Children trampled by

    Mankind, their breath

    Is hushed - their spirits

    Crushed. Oh, little

    Ones, you have died,

    Only to rise anew.

    Sweetly sleep in your

    Humble tomb until again

    You bloom.

    ******

    Autumn gusts blow

    Leaves from trees,

    Swirling in the air,

    Leaving them bare.

    The mournful call of

    The dove slowly fades

    As she folds her

    Wings.

    Winter's cruel

    Plight touches the

    Earth and hills

    With winter chills.

    Silence,

    As all creation

    Sleeps, covered in

    Snow, as frigid

    Air blows.

    Ice and snow begin to

Thaw. A sound of a bell,

    Spring casts her spell.

    Showers wash the land.

    The language of flowers

    Are known only by God.

    He whispers, the sun

    Kisses each petal

    Obeying His wishes.

    The lark's song

    Wakes creation, skies

    Are blue, no longer dark.
