After much personal sacrifice and perseverance, she proudly graduated from Rutgers University with a B.S. in Psychology and Criminal Justice as well as an M.A. in Criminal Justice from that same university. She is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, mother of two children and devoted daughter.
