1.The Stranger in Michele

Michele and Evan were together for three years. Before they met, she didn’t believe she would find anyone because of her illness. It had discovered when she was young. As she got older, it became worse and worse. Family, friends, and strangers didn’t know how to handling it .Sometimes they were afraid.

Until she ran into Evan. At first, he didn’t know how to take care of her, but he caught the hang of it. She had days when the sickness made her go out of her mind, but he’d give her her meds and calm her down.

One night she became so ill he couldn’t bring her out. When he ran to get the phone to call 911, she ran into the darkness. Evan ran after her screaming out her name. Michele ran faster and faster into the woods. Soon she arrived at a lake.

As she stood there looking in it, she found out her reflection—but it wasn’t her normal reflection. It was a side of her she didn’t know.  As Michele stood there looking at her reflection in the lake,  it took hold of her and pulled her in. She fought for her liveliness, but despite her kicking and screaming, the reflection drowned her.

Michele sunk to the bed of the lake and her reflection stepped out. When Evan approached her, he was breathless and weak.

Are you okay? he demanded.

Yes, the reflection replied.

The ambulance is on the path, Evan said.
