    Chapter 1:

The Women in The Red Dress

    Murter, Mai 8 2005

Sandra Barros met the love of her life at the right moment, or so she thought at first. Sandra was a Croatian bartender who barely made enough salary to take care of her only child properly. She was in her late twenties (28). Sandra had dark brown hair and was short, below average. She was approximately 1.62 metres long and weighed not more than 50 kilo’s. She had brown eyes below her thin black eyebrows and always used red lipstick before going to work. Besides wearing work clothes, she only had two pairs of jeans, a blouse, a sweat shirt and underwear. Most of her earnings were spend on her daughter Mia. The only thing she cared about was her daughter. Sandra tried hard to give her the best future as possible.

Mia was five years old and went to kindergarten. She was showing great skills in class and teachers estimated her IQ could possibly reach beyond 130. Mia looked a lot like her mother, you could say they were the same person in two different stages of life. Mia always stayed at school late because Sandra couldn’t pick her up earlier because of her work. In the spare time, Mia used to read books until her mother arrived to pick her up. Mia was the first in the class who could read.

Sandra saw a new customer entering the bar and waited until the man took a sit and started to look for a waitress. He was looking like a younger version of Roger Moore she thought. Handsome, a great and warm smile. He was wearing grey trousers and a white blouse. Sandra forgot to look at his type of shoe’s. She could fall in love with him right here, right now. She was walking to him to take his order and he saw her coming. He put of his sunglasses and revealed his icy blue eyes.

‘Do you want something to drink?’ Sandra asked politely.

He put on one of those charming smiles and said: ‘I want something to drink, with you.’

‘I’m sorry sir, but that won’t be possible.’ She blushed.

    ‘What about tonight?’

Sandra didn’t know how to react. And before she could say anything her boss interrupted.

‘Do we have a problem here?’ he asked in a deep tone.

‘Yes we have, you’re employee tries to seduce me’, the Roger Moore type of guy said.

‘What?’Sandra said surprised. ‘No!’ in a furious tone.

‘Calm down Sandra and let me take this man’s order.’

    ‘but...’

    ‘No Sandra, now go.’

Sandra walks away with an angry face throwing her pen away. She could hear the two continue their conversation while walking towards the back.

‘Girls these days, have no respect anymore.’

‘So what can I bring you?’

‘I think I’m done here, I’m going somewhere else.’

‘Of course sir. Is there anything else I could do?’

    ‘No, you can’t.’

    Angeli Citta, July 13 2007

She wore a red dress which just covered her ass. Black with gold high heels, some expensive jewellery and her classic make-up was done perfectly. She also carried a handbag which was probably filled with more make-up and her wallet. At first sight, he thought she was married to a rich man or something. That kind of woman who had married someone for the money but never stopped missing her roots. So he was very sure
