Lats (seventeen years old) was leaning on a large apple tree and contemplating sheep while they were eating from green grass. He asked the old sheep shepherd (Debra):

I heard that you are from a village close to the wall. Is this true?

The old man said while throwing a small stone on one of the sheep that he owns so as not to move away from the rest of sheep:

Yes, it is true that I worked at a stage of my youth in a village close to the Great Wall.

I was strong then not as now and I worked on a large farm with a large number of men.

It was beautiful days, although I thought it was hard at that time.

Lats's eyes shone, increased curiosity and asked him quickly:

"And did you see that the Great Wall that they are talking about?

Do you know what its story is? Why was it built?"

The old man laughed, shook his head and said:

Do not hurry, of course, my son, I saw that great wall and I will tell you the story.

The old man began to stare at the horizon with his sleepy eyes and said:

When hunger touches the stomachs of the poor and the stomachs of their children, while the rich are full of all kinds of food and throw more than they eat, then the spark of revolution begins.

Yes, this is what happened more than 1,000 years ago.

There have been revolutions all over the planet, from poor farmers to rich landowners to expand beyond and encompass all parts of the planet.

There was no middle class. The inhabitants of this planet were divided into two classes only: a poor and destitute class and a wealthy class possessing all wealth.

A long struggle and fighting took place between these two classes led to the deaths of many people from both sides and eventually led to a reconciliation between those who represent the poor and those who represent the rich.

They realized that the fighting was not in the interest of anyone. Everyone agreed that the Morthon planet should be divided into two empires so that all the poor would be east of the planet Morthon and have an independent empire where the rich could not intervene, while the rich lived in the West and had their own independent empire.

"In order to prevent fighting and conflict again, the two sides agreed to build a great wall with a high and wide elevation in the middle between the East and the West, between the two empires. It extended from north to south, dividing the planet Morthon into two halves:

half east and half west."

Many deserts go through the lawns and cut all the rivers that fall in their path.

They took over ten years to build it and built it with strong red brick and consumed the energy of thousands of men.

This wall was built to be wide and divided into two sections, right and left, and between the two sections there was a stone barrier. This wall is not just a wall, but an integrated set of defensive walls, watch towers and warning towers.

"The Eastern Empire has the right to put its guards on the left side to ensure that no threat or outsider comes from the Western Empire.

The Western Empire has the right to put its guards on the right side of the wall for the same purpose as the East Empire."

There are also entrances to the guards of the walls and soldiers of the two empires, so that the guards of the empire of the East come from the east and enter their own entrance and are in the left wing facing the west as well as for the empire of the west come from the west and enter from their entrance and be in the right section of the wall facing the east.

The wall was designed so that the guards of the two empires do not meet to prevent any friction between them and to prevent problems between the two empires.

An agreement has been held between the two empires that whoever crosses this wall and goes to the other side, the empire that is entered its territory has the right to decide his fate, even if that fate is arrest or death.

Both empires agreed to this condition and the actual implementation of guarding the wall began on both sides over more than 1,000 years.

The people of the two empires became aware of the punishment of those who crossed the wall and went to the other side. This has been the case of the two empires for more than 1,000 years.

With time and the presence of the Western Empire in land which rich in natural resources was most of the scientists and innovators by building the wall of the rich class and continued to stay in it, the Western Empire has become more advanced from our empire.

All we know about how the Western Empire lives is what the soldiers in charge of guarding the entire wall see from the cities near the western side of the wall and transfer that to us.

Lats took an apple that had just fallen from the tree on which he was leaning on, and he took it in his clothes and gnawed at it. He said:

Obviously, that the difference between the two empires is so great?

The old man replied with his usual calm:

Yes, the difference between the two empires is very great, as we are told that they have transport, cities and a sophisticated life compared to us, they do not need animals like us. You also need animals to pull them out, and our houses are mostly wooden huts that are not their big and tall ones, which you can see clearly when you approach the wall, so that their clothes are not like our clothes, they are said to wear clothes in colors and shapes that are nicer than we wear.

Lats said with joy:

You seem to have traveled to many places.

The old man laughed and said:

Yes, I traveled a lot in my youth, visited several cities and met people.

I have many friends all over the empire, even if this wall did not exist, I would visit more cities.

The question came in the Lats' imagination. He wanted to ask the old man but he hesitates a little, the old man noticed that and said:

What is the matter of you?

I can read in your eyes the hesitation, you wanted to say something.

The sign of shame on Lats' face and he said:

Yes, I wanted to ask you a question, but I canceled the idea from my head because it is a personal question and I do not have the right to insinuate myself with respect to others.

The old man turned his head toward him and looked at his face and suddenly, he laughed loudly and said:

Ask, I have nothing to be ashamed of.

He said that and then raised his head slightly to the sky and said:

What do you like to know (Lats)?

The sign of shame is still visible on Lats' face when he said:

Do not you love or marry, old man (Debra)?

The old man started a sigh from the depths of his chest and then said:

Of course, I loved. In one of my trips and moving I met a beautiful girl and I wanted to marry her but something happened to prevent this. I did not like others to this day.

The old man was silent a little then he continued:

"Maybe I made a big mistake then, that love as the opportunity.

You must go to him not to wait for him to come to you."

You should fight for it, not to watch it go away from you.

Then calm prevailed, (Lats) did not utter any word as the old was silent too. (Lats) broke the Silence and said:

Did you fight for your love?

The old man took a small stone and threw it at one of the sheep, which moved a little from the herd and said:

I do not think so, I left the village where she lived in. Recently, I heard that she married and has four children, I recently realized that I should not have loved her all that love. Or in other words I should have loved myself too

After the old man saw the approach of nightfall. He took his long stick that was beside him to help him up and said:

Well, I'll just talk about the wall and about the adventures of a young man who has become old enough. Let's go home and I'll tell you more about it next time.

He smiled and said:

Well, I was very excited to know more about this great wall. And about you, too.

He said that while he was throwing the rest of the apple he ate and then he said:

"I will go home, too."

Lats went home. His house, like most of the eastern empire, was a wooden hut in a small farmhouse with a large group of ducks, chickens, a few goats and four cows.

He opened the wooden door to his house and saw his mother had put a pot of soup on fire while his little sister of seven years playing in a wooden doll, and then sat on a chair and spoke to his mother:

Mom, I want to join the imperial army.

His mother stood in front of a medium sized pot and stirred with a large spoon the soup inside.

When she heard what her son had said to her, she stopped stirring the soup and turned to him and put her hands on his thick black hair she said to him weakly:

Why do you want to work in the imperial army? Do not you like working in our small farm?...

He knew she would ask him this question so he did not take much time to reply and say:

But my mother, working in our small farm does not come very well. I love working on the farm, Mom, but that's not all I want.

His mother returned to the pot to complete the stirring of the soup and said to him as she still stirred the soup:

But working in the army of the empire has a lot of risks, you do not know at any time there may be a war between the two empires may be devastated.

"I do not want to lose you I have in this world other than you and your sister only.

(Lats) laughed artificial laugh. And he said:

"My mother, working in the imperial army is not so dangerous believe me. Mom, as I have heard that since the Great Wall was built between the two empires and they did not have any war between them.

Do not you want me to have a prominent position in the army? Or will I stay all my life clean the ducks and chickens and bring the hashish for goats and cow's milk?

After hearing his words, his mother started a sigh of relief that she was upset by this talk and said:

Do not forget that poultry farming is enough for us, we are a small family and we get enough money from this small farm. I know the real reason you want to join the army is not money.

"It's LaRosa, is not she?

(Lats) got up from his chair and headed to her near the pot of soup and put his hands on her shoulder and said:

No, my mother, it is not (LaRosa) That the reason of what I said. I said that because the work on the farm is boring and the money we got from the farm, if we had enough today, it may not be enough tomorrow.

His mother wanted to change the subject of speech after she fed up with him and said:

"Leave this talk now and go to fetch water and place it in the ducks and chicken coop.

She put some of hot soup in the cat's eating bowl. The cat saw that then it went to eat and his mother wiped her thick fur and played with it to deliberately to be busy from her son.

When he saw that he went out of the house and took the water bucket and went to the well, he threw the bucket and filled it with water and dumped it in a large basin in the chicken and duck yard.

He repeat this process several times to fill the tub with water and after it has returned home.

His mother put the dishes on the table to put the soup in them and bread. After she had finished preparing the table, everyone began to eat. While eating, his mother talked and said:

My son, that wall of the farm needs to be repaired. Why do not you fix it tomorrow? We should not neglect it anymore.

Lats ate a piece of bread and began to bite some of it then he thought a bit and said:

But we do not have screws. We all consumed them last time we fixed the roof of the house.

His mother thought a little then she said:

Well this time bring more nails, maybe we need them in the future.

(Lats) nodded his head and said:

Never mind, Mom, I will buy a large quantity this time.

After he had finished eating soup, he took another piece of bread and put a little cheese on it then after eating it, he drank a cup of milk that his mother put for him, he said:

Okay, Mom, I'll go to sleep, because tomorrow we'll have a lot of work and want to sleep early.

As soon as he entered his room threw his body on his wooden bed and began thinking about himself and wondered:

"I am tired of working on this farm.

I also fed up with this village and people of this village "

Then he whispered to himself:

I fed up with (LaRosa) too.

Then he remembered the old man's words (Debra):

Love is like the opportunity. You have to go to it, not to wait for it to come to you, to fight for it, not to watch it go away from you.

He thought a lot about these words and finally said:

Any way, I should not be late to sleep, because tomorrow I have a lot of work to do and I have to stop thinking now and sleep so that I can get up early tomorrow.

Next morning, Lats woke up on the beam of daylight entering the window and his mother's voice saying:

Wake up, Lats. We have a lot of work to do.

After hearing his mother's voice, he sat down and said in heavy words:

Well, Mom.

But I will bathe before that.

He did not take much time in shower and then ate breakfast, which was something of grains of olives, brown bread and milk, he thought about what he will do today in the farm and arranged the work in his mind and began to happen himself:

Today I will milk cows, bring water and food to them ... I will bring some green feeds for goats, clean the shed of ducks and chickens then bring water and food. Is that all?

Yes, I almost forgot to buy nails from the market and fix the wall of the farm. And also I have to …."

His mother cut off the rope of his thoughts when she said:

In our small farm there is an unused space, and what do you think we plant and plant some tomatoes, Cucumber and lettuce instead of buying it from the market?

And when he heard it began signs of grumbling appear on his face and said in a quiet voice:

Mom, you know that breeding goats and caring for cows and ducks is cumbersome, so how do we add vegetables to them?

His mother smiled and said excitedly:

Vegetable farming will benefit us a lot. In addition, your little sister will help you a bit, soil here is fertile so we will not get too tired in agriculture.

Lats raised his eyebrows and said in himself:

It seems inevitable.

Then he said:

Well, and when do you want to start growing vegetables, mother?

His mother smiled as she won and said to herself:

"He seems to be finally convinced that vegetable farming will save us some money instead of buying it from the market.

He quickly finished his breakfast and said to his mother:

Well, Mom, I'll go to the animal shed to clean it and bring water and food to them.

His mother said:

Don't not forget to ....

He Interrupted her saying:

I know ,Mom, repairing the farm's wall.

He quickly got up and cleaned the barns and brought water and food to them. Then he went to market to buy nails to repair the wall of the farm.

He was in his usual activity wandering around the market when he heard man's voice who had gathered people around him,
