About this ebook
It is said that if you visit a mountain in the far northern reaches of Kineru, you will find an old man guarding a cave full of treasures. When Sepiron makes the long journey there, he brings three gifts, not to exchange for treasure, but to learn the old man's story.
For Sepiron is seeking the history of the false gods of Kineru. He's been tasked to bring light to the farthest reaches of the world and to destroy its false gods, no matter how long it takes. And though Sepiron is a mere man, he serves a righteous god more powerful than any other.
The Painter is the first story in The Kineru Chronicles, an exciting series of interconnected short stories. Told in the style of old-fashioned myths and legends, these Christian Fantasy tales follow Sepiron's journey as he slays powerful monsters, false gods, and vicious mortals who seek to oppress the weak and helpless.

The Painter - Ryan Bush
Long ago, a young man journeyed far to the north, venturing beyond the lands where any people dared dwell. He traveled for many weeks, passing through valleys and over mountains, until at last he came to a great mountain whose head stuck above the clouds. He climbed the mountain, where he found an old man seated in front of a cave, staring sightlessly into the sun.
The young man sat on a rock near the old man, but he did not stare into the sun. After a time, the young man spoke.
