About this ebook
The human race is faced with diverse positives and negatives. This is the ultimate reality of life in which no human can avoid. We either choose to drown in this ocean or swim by all means against the tides till we find ourselves in an island, dry up our wings, spread it wide to the sky, and fly away in great joy. Lines from the scroll expresses realities of terror, war, travail, heartbreak, love, dreams and nightmares. All of which the human race encounters daily. In the same vein, it seeks to restore lost hopes, inspire, motivate, and serve as solace for troubled souls.
Agbor Enya
Agbor Enya is a Nigerian. He is driven by the passion to spill the ink as it flows from within. Sometimes the lines come to him in form of water puddles which he then puts together to create something that will engage his readers in pleasurable and educative reading. He always seeks to connect with his reader’s mind with his lines. Generally, he writes on everyday realities and emotions. He has neither specified time nor place to write as the lines come to him sometimes on the go.

Lines From The Scroll - Agbor Enya
I would like to use this medium to extend heartfelt gratitude to God almighty, my family and friends, including my friends on social media. There is no bound to how much I appreciate the wonderful people who stood by and supported me to embark on this amazing journey that brought about the birth of this baby. Special thanks to my friends who took out time to read my very first lines and other lines after.
I would also like to specially appreciate Kalu Chidinma (my invaluable friend whose words inspired my very first lines), Mr. Daniel Ekoro (Lecturer, Department of English and Literary Studies, University of Calabar, Calabar) Ajah Chukwudi, Victory Esedeke and Ozumba Victor Richards (I call them my super analysts), Okparaolu Chris (author of You
), Matt and Ashley of Fallspoetry (your daily challenge contributed immensely to this collection).
Likewise, my awesome readers, the lines are never complete until they get to you all, I appreciate and love you all.
INTRODUCTION
Lines from the Scroll is a collection of series of thoughts expressed in ways of reality. An assembly of events of life that has occurred, and those yet to occur to us.
Themes explored in this collection include Romance, Terror, Travail, Tragedy, and Hope.
There are a series of sad turns expressed in this collection as it affects our daily living, nonetheless, it has no intention of demoralization. Rather it seeks to turn any perceived frustration to motivation, typhoons to a tailwind, restore hope to the hopeless, console broken hearts, and unveil realities in various ways.
Never be frightened by the downsides of life expressed in this collection, instead, be inspired and see it as a walkthrough in this journey called life.
Lines in this collection are expressed with a high level of simplicity for easy comprehension.

University of Calabar,
I have read poetry collections from a host of respected poets but in Agbor's collection of poems, Lines From The Scroll, I find lines that speak to our everyday life and living.
The English, the style, the wording, the audacity is exquisite, and just sheerly
beautiful. It is a book that all lovers of poetry need to read.
