The Real Mind Of God (A Comparative Scriptural Analysis) - Prof. Robert Stewart

    CHAPTER 1

    THE NAMES OF GOD

The Lord (God) has many names among the numerous societies of the Earth. Some of his names can be found in the scriptures of the seven major religions: Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, and Confucianism. Here are a few of his names in The Bible of Judaism - Christianity, and The Holy Qur’an of Islam:

    Bible / Exodus 3

    14. And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

    Bible / Exodus 6

    3. And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

    Bible / Matthew 5

    16. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 3

    1. I, ALLAH, am the best Knower

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 11

    1. I, ALLAH, am the Seer. A Book, whose verses are characterized by wisdom, then they are made plain, from One Wise, Aware.

In addition to his names in Hebrew and Arabic in these verses, he is referred to as Brahma in The Dhammapada (Holy Scripture of Buddhism), Krishna in The Bhagavad-Gita (Holy Scripture of Hinduism), Ahura Mazda in The Zend-Avesta of Zoroastrianism, and The One or The Tao in The Tao-Te Ching (Holy Scripture of Taoism). The Lord (God) is called Olodumare by the Yoruba people of Africa, Amun-Re by the ancient Egyptians, Hunab Ku or Itzamna by the ancient Mayans, Odin or Wodan by the ancient Norse, Chaos by the ancient Greeks, Wakan Tanka to many Native American Indians, and countless other names throughout the Universe. Consequently, it is extremely idiotic for any alleged believer (regardless of religious persuasion) to curse the names of The Creator of the Universe simply because his names in other societies are not identical to his name in your society. Here is The Holy Qur’an on this subject:

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 17

    110. Say: Call on Allah or call on the Beneficent. By whatever (name) you call on Him, He has the best names. And utter not thy prayer loudly nor be silent in it, and seek a way between these.

Hence, The Lord of the Heavens is not concerned with your name for him as long as it is masculine, and indicative of his being The Creator, Master, Supreme, and so on. Masculine names must also be applied to his angels:

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 43

    19. And they make the angels who are the servants of the Beneficent, females. Did they witness their creation? Their evidence will be recorded and they will be questioned.

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 53

    27. Surely those who believe not in the Hereafter name the angels with female names.

    28. And they have no knowledge of it. They follow but conjecture, and surely conjecture avails naught against Truth.

    Bible / Daniel 8

    15. And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.

    16. And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

    Bible / Jude 1

    9. Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Therefore, masculine names for The Lord and his angels are of grave importance. In The Holy Qur’an, the first command delivered by The Lord to his first human mortal creation (Adam) reads as such:

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 2

    31. And He taught Adam all the names, then presented them to the angels; He said: Tell Me the names of those if you are right.

    32. They said: Glory be to Thee! We have no knowledge but that which Thou hast taught us. Surely Thou art the Knowing, the Wise.

    33. He said: O Adam, inform them of their names. So when he informed them of their names, He said: Did I not say to you that I know what is unseen in the heavens and the earth? And I know what you manifest and what you hide.

    Bible / Genesis / Chapter 2

    18. And The Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

    19. And out of the ground The Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; And brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

    20. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

In light of these verses, names are of great significance and the names of God should never be mocked or ridiculed by any alleged believer for any reason.

    CHAPTER 2

    THE UNIVERSE

There is a debate among scientists and non-scientists around the world regarding the creation of the Universe. The terminology being incorporated by some scientists is Intelligent Design. This infers that the Universe was conceived and created by a supreme intelligence. The Intelligent Design terminology was first written in 1847 in an issue of the Scientific American magazine. However, despite the manifest logic of this concept, most in the scientific world today cling to the utterly asinine (or ridiculous) theory of The Big Bang for the creation of the Universe. The premise of this illogical theory is that the Universe began with the explosion of a single atom which hurled matter in all directions. This theory was first relayed in 1927 by a Belgian (pseudo) priest named Georges Lemaitre. Well, since the very foundation of science is alleged to be Cause and Effect, Lemaitre would have you believe that the atom created itself; then detonated itself. This absurd assertion from Lemaitre is mythology, nothing more. He had no absolute knowledge of how, why, nor when the Universe was created, period. Consequently, since scientists do not (and never will) possess the knowledge of the creation of the Universe, reasoning or common sense must be incorporated to evoke a rational conclusion. The following verses from the scriptures of the creator and governor of the Universe should suffice as the most reasonable conclusion:

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 35

    1. Praise be to Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, the Maker of the angels, messengers flying on wings, two, and three, and four. He increases in creation what He pleases. Surely Allah is Possessor of power over all things.

    Bible / Genesis 1

    1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

    Bible / Isaiah 45

    18. For thus saith The Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am The Lord; and there is none else.

As you can see, Lemaitre’s Big Noise or Bang mythology is in gargantuan opposition to the decrees of The Lord. Lemaitre’s preposterous notion that an atom simply decided to make itself explode in order to transform itself into the entire Universe is completely illogical and manifest insanity. Here is reason or common sense:

    Merriam Webster’s Dictionary / CAUSE:

1 a : a reason for an action or condition : MOTIVE : something that brings about an effect or a result c : a person or thing that is the occasion of an action or state ; especially : an agent that brings something about d : sufficient reason .

    EFFECT:

2 : something that inevitably follows an antecedent (as a cause or agent)

    3 : an outward sign : APPEARANCE.

    LAW:

1 a (1) : a binding custom or practice of a community : a rule of conduct or action prescribed or formally recognized as binding or enforced by a controlling authority.

In light of these definitions, the Big Bang mythology is completely illogical. There is no effect without a cause, and no law and order without a governor or controlling authority. Consequently, these two questions arise from Lemaitre’s theory: Who or what created the atom before the existence of the Universe, and what caused Lemaitre’s atom to explode?

Of course, these questions cannot be answered by any human Earth mortal regardless of the number of degrees or certificates that they have attained from alleged institutions of higher learning. Yeah, if Lemaitre and the rest of his scientific heathen comrades were not physically present to witness any event at the beginning of the Universe, they can relay only conjecture or mythology, period. Since we are on the subject of atoms, here is the Holy Qur’an:

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 10

    61. And thou art not (engaged) in any affair and thou recitest not concerning it any portion of the Quran, and you do no work, but We are Witness of you when you are engaged therein. And not the weight of an atom in the earth or in the heaven is hidden from thy Lord, nor anything less than that nor greater, but it is (all) in a clear book.

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 34

    3. And those who disbelieve say: The Hour will never come to us. Say: Yea, by my Lord, the Knower of the unseen! it will certainly come to you. Not an atom’s weight escapes Him in the heavens or in the earth, nor is there less than that nor greater, but (all) is in a clear book,

Yeah, historians of the white race would have you believe that the ancient Greek philosophers Leucippus and his student Democritus were the founding-fathers of Atomism (theory regarding indivisible atoms) in the early 400’s BC. However, they conveniently omit or disregard (for racists reasons more than likely) the ancient Indian philosopher and sage who pre-dated (by approximately 200 years in the 6th century B.C.) both of the aforementioned Greek philosophers as the founder of Atomism, Acharya Kanada. He is the author of the ancient Hindu text The Vaisheshik Darshana. Within his text, Kanada relayed that atoms comprise everything in the physical Universe, and that they can be synthesized or combined to create molecules. This is profound indeed!

White historians would also have you believe that the English scientist John Dalton was the first to reveal (in 1803) that atoms have weights, and British scientist Joseph John Thomson was the first to reveal (in 1897) that atoms are comprised of smaller particles called electrons. However, the Holy Qur’an relayed information regarding atoms and sub-atomic particles in the preceding verses some 1,400 years ago:

    Surah 10 – Verse 61

And not the weight of an atom in the earth or in the heaven is hidden from thy Lord, nor anything less than that nor greater

Yeah, it would seem that Dalton and J.J. Thomson had read the Holy Qur’an of some 1,400 years ago. The context of The Lord’s revelation is regarding the atoms (including sub-atomic particles) of the Earth and The Universe (Heaven); not simply confined to the Earth as some translators of the Holy Qur’an ignorantly propose.

Let us now venture into the realm of common sense or reason once again. Since there is a Universe (or Multiverse) in existence (planets, stars, black holes, and so on) that no human Earth mortal could possibly create, fashion, sustain, or control, then the reasoning of the scriptures of The Lord of the Cosmos provide us with the best explanation for his creation of the heavens and the Earth. Here are a few common-sense examples:

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 3

    190. In the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day, there are surely signs for men of understanding.

    191. Those who remember Allah standing and sitting and (lying) on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth: Our Lord, Thou hast not created this in vain! Glory be to Thee! Save us from the chastisement of the Fire.

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 13

    2. Allah is He who raised the heavens without any pillars that you can see, and He is established on the Throne of Power, and He made the sun and the moon subservient (to you). Each one runs to an appointed term. He regulates the affair, making clear the messages that you may be certain of the meeting with your Lord.

    3. And He it is Who spread the earth, and made in it firm mountains and rivers. And of all fruits He has made in it pairs, two (of every kind). He makes the night cover the day. Surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect.

    Bible / Genesis 1

    14. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

These declarations from The Lord of the Worlds give religious believers the best counter arguments (law & governance) against the Big Bang mythology. Yeah, since most human beings of sanity know that planets, stars, the sun, and so on, do not possess brains or the ability to think, common-sense or reason informs those of sanity that some being of supreme power and intelligence (beyond the abilities and comprehension of mere human Earth mortals) must have created laws for the Universe, and is governing or regulating these laws that maintain order throughout the Cosmos. A good example of this is the government of North America. If there were no governing laws (Bill of Rights, Constitution, etc.) in existence, and she did not possess and maintain police forces throughout the country to enforce the laws, there would be immense chaos or pandemonium nationwide. This line of reasoning should also be applied to the law and order of the Universe. We are even beckoned by The Lord himself to reflect upon the law and order of his magnificent creation:

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 71

    13. What is the matter with you that you hope not for greatness from Allah?

    14. And indeed He has created you by various stages.

    15. See you not how Allah has created the seven heavens alike,

    16. And made the moon therein a light, and made the sun a lamp?

    Bible / Genesis 1

    15. And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

    16. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

    17. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

    18. And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

As is clear, the alternation of night and day (perpetual rotation of the Earth) is governed or controlled by a being of supreme intelligence. Some might say that areas in the far north (Finland, Norway, etc.) do not experience nightfall, for the Sun shines twenty-four hours a day; this is true. However, while these areas do not experience complete darkness, they do experience a dimming of the Sun’s brilliance indicating nightfall. Since no mere human being can create stars, planets, and so on, those possessing sanity must bow in submission to the being of supreme intelligence that created all in the Universe:

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 67

    1. Blessed is He in Whose hand is the Kingdom, and He is Possessor of power over all things,

    2. Who created death and life that He might try you -- which of you is best in deeds. And He is the Mighty, the Forgiving,

    3. Who created the seven heavens alike. Thou seest no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent. Then look again: Canst thou see any disorder?

    4. Then turn the eye again and again -- thy look will return to thee confused, while it is fatigued.

    Bible / Job 22

    12. Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!

    Bible / Psalm 8

    3. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

    4. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

    Bible / Jeremiah 31

    35. Thus saith The Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name:

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 36

    36. Glory be to Him Who created pairs of all things, of what the earth grows, and of their kind and of what they know not!

    37. And a sign to them is the night: We draw forth from it the day, then lo! they are in darkness;

    38. And the sun moves on to its destination. That is the ordinance of the Mighty, the Knower.

    39. And the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it becomes again as an old dry palm-branch.

    40. Neither is it for the sun to over-take the moon, nor can the night out-strip the day. And all float on in an orbit.

Since the Earth has not crashed into Mars, Pluto hasn’t slammed into Venus, nor has the Sun become a gargantuan ice cube, we are forced to address the question posed by The Lord in verse 3 of Surah 67: Canst thou see any disorder? Nay, the believer sees no disorder whatsoever, oh Lord; Ma Sha llah! [English: It is the will of God or Allah]

Many in the Islamic world believe that the following verses are symbolically referring to the other seven planets (Earth being the eighth) in our Universe:

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 41

    12. So He ordained them seven heavens in two days, and revealed in every heaven its affair. And We adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (made it) to guard. That is the decree of the Mighty, the Knowing.

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 67

    5. And certainly We have adorned this lower heaven with lamps and We make them means of conjectures for the devils, and We have prepared for them the chastisement of burning.

However, if they were to meticulously dissect the verses, they might realize that the lower heaven terminology infers that there are six other heavens (or non-physical planes of existence) that cannot be seen with the physical eyes of human beings. Further, in verse 5 of Surah 67, The Lord states that he has made this lower heaven and its lamps (sun, stars, and so on) means of conjectures for the devils. The devils are the scientists or astronomers (Georges Lemaitre, Edwin Hubble, Carl Sagan, Stephen Hawking, and the rest) who attempt to define (by concocting theories of absurdity) the infinite complexities of The Lord’s Universe or physical lower heaven. Here are other verses that address our physical Universe as the lower heaven:

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 41

    9. Say: Do you indeed disbelieve in Him Who created the earth in two days, and do you set up equals with Him? That is The Lord of the worlds.

    10. And He made in it mountains above its surface, and He blessed therein and ordained therein its foods, in four days; alike for (all) seekers.

    11. Then He directed Himself to the heaven and it was a vapour, so He said to it and to the earth: Come both, willingly or unwillingly. They both said: We come willingly.

    12. So He ordained them seven heavens in two days, and revealed in every heaven its affair. And We adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (made it) to guard. That is the decree of the Mighty, the Knowing.

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 37

    4. Surely your God is One.

    5. The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and The Lord of the eastern lands.

    6. Surely We have adorned the lower heaven with an adornment, the stars,

    7. And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious devil.

    8. They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are reproached from every side,

    9. Driven off; and for them is a perpetual chastisement.

These declarations are distinct regarding the seven heavens; the lowest being adorned with lights or stars. Further, Surah 41 verse 12, states that The Lord ordained them seven heavens. This is a monumental distinction that has been misunderstood by most in the Islamic world, for the phrase seven heavens is not identical to seven worlds. This is highly significant, for throughout The Holy Qur’an The Lord uses the world or worlds terminology precisely and definitively:

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 10

    23. But when He delivers them, lo! they are unjustly rebellious in the earth. O men, your rebellion is against yourselves - a provision (only) of this world’s life. Then to Us is your return, so We shall inform you of what you did.

    69. Say: Those who forge a lie against Allah will not succeed.

    70. A little enjoyment in this world, then to Us is their return, then We shall make them taste severe chastisement because they disbelieved.

As is plain in these verses, The Lord uses the world terminology precisely when he desires to do so. In fact, he uses the term well over 100 times in The Holy Qur’an. He even uses specific names for that which he has created within this lower heaven:

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 6

    1. Praise be to Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and made darkness and light. Yet those who disbelieve set up equals to their Lord.

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 25

    61. Blessed is He Who made the stars in the heavens and made therein a sun and a moon giving light!

    62. And He it is, Who made the night and the day to follow each other, for him who desires to be mindful or desires to be thankful.

In these verses, The Lord uses specific names such as Earth, Sun, and Moon. Consequently, since The Lord is very specific when he desires to be, his seven heavens terminology in the previous verses are not in reference to planets or stars. Further corroboration of the other six heavens not referring to planets lies in this declaration of The Lord:

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 37

    7. And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious devil.

    8. They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are reproached from every side.

This infers that this lower heaven (stars, planets, etc.) has a barrier that cannot be penetrated by physical beings, nor Satan and his demons. The exalted assembly is The Lord, his mighty angels, and his prophets.

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 15

    14. And even if We open to them a gate of heaven, and they keep on ascending into it,

    15. They would say: Only our eyes have been covered over, rather we are an enchanted people.

The keep on ascending into it terminology is further corroboration of there being levels or degrees to the unseen heavens above this lower heaven. Some of the most prominent physicists, cosmologists, astronomers, and such (Stephen Hawking, Max Tegmark, Brian Greene are among these), espouse the Multiverse theory:

    Merriam Webster’s Dictionary / Multiverse

: a theoretical reality that includes a possibly infinite number of parallel universes.

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 15

    16. And certainly We have made strongholds in the heaven, and We have made it fair-seeming to the beholders,

    17. And We guard it against every accursed devil,

    18. But he who steals a hearing; so there follows him a visible flame.

The strongholds or barriers that separate this lower heaven from the other heavens cannot be seen nor penetrated by any physical beings, nor Satan and his demons. Even if Satan and his demonic brethren were to attempt to steal a hearing, or eavesdrop on the exalted assembly of The Lord, a visible flame (that can only be seen by those who live in the realm unseen) would drive them back from whence they came.

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 5

    17. They indeed disbelieve who say: Surely, Allah – He is the Messiah, son of Mary. Say: Who then could control anything as against Allah when He wished to destroy the Messiah, son of Mary, and his mother and all those on the earth? And Allah’s is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them. He creates what He pleases. And Allah is Possessor of power over all things.

    18. And the Jews and the Christians say: We are the sons of Allah and His beloved ones. Say: Why does He then chastise you for your sins? Nay, you are mortals from among those whom He has created. He forgives whom He pleases and chastises whom He pleases. And Allah’s is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and to Him is the eventual coming.

The domain that exists between Heaven and Earth cannot be seen with the physical eyes of human beings. It is the realm where Satan and his demons launch their attacks against mankind. It is the source of all paranormal occurrences throughout the planet. I will address this issue in detail in a later chapter.

The existence of an unseen realm or domain is not as far-fetched as you may believe. Many scientific heathens (a few do believe in The Lord – God, however) acknowledge the mysterious existence of Dark Matter and Dark Energy in the Universe. In simplest terms, Dark Matter is theorized to be unseen or phantom matter that accounts for certain gravitational effects throughout the Universe. Dark Energy is an unseen or phantom force that opposes gravity and is thought to be the cause of the accelerated expansion of the Universe. Consequently, since scientific heathens (in all of their sickening arrogance) lack actual fact knowledge regarding the origin and constitution of these and other mysterious unseen forces, they cannot declare what is not possible or what does not exist in The Lord’s unseen creation. In simpler terms, their mere theories (equals guessing or beliefs) are no greater than a religious person’s beliefs; both parties merely believe, nothing more.

Regarding the Earth, its most important substance is water. No organism can live without it for a prolonged period of time. This is corroborated throughout The Bible and Holy Qur’an:

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 21

    30. Do not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the earth were closed up, so We rent them. And We made from water everything living. Will they not then believe?

    Bible / Genesis

    6. And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

    7. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 24

    45. And Allah has created every animal of water. So of them is that which crawls upon its belly, and of them is that which walks upon two feet, and of them is that which walks upon four. Allah creates what He pleases. Surely Allah is Possessor power over all things.

    Bible / Genesis

    20. And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

    21. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Since no human being can create a whale, dog, bird, bear, elephant, and so on, the human being of sanity must bow in submission to the mighty being of supreme intelligence who created that which mankind cannot create by any means whatsoever; Al Hamduli llah! [English: All praise is due to God or Allah]

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 7

    57. And He it is Who sends forth the winds bearing good news before His mercy; till, when they bear a laden cloud, We drive it to a dead land, then We send down water on it, then bring forth thereby fruits of all kinds. Thus do We bring forth the dead that you may be mindful.

    58. And the good land – its vegetation comes forth (abundantly) by the permission of its Lord. And that which is inferior – (its herbage) comes forth but scantily. Thus do We repeat the messages for a people who give thanks.

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 6

    99. And He it is Who sends down water from the clouds, then We bring forth with it buds of all (plants), then We bring forth from it green (foliage), from which We produce clustered grain; and of the date-palm, of the sheaths of it, come forth clusters (of dates) within reach; and gardens of grapes and the olive and the pomegranate, alike and unlike. Look at the fruit of it when it bears fruit and the ripening of it. Surely there are signs in this for people who believe!

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 27

    60. Or, Who created the heavens and the earth, and sends down for you water from the cloud? Then We cause to grow thereby beautiful gardens - it is not possible for you to make the trees thereof to grow. Is there a god with Allah? Nay, they are a people who deviate!

    Bible / Leviticus 11

    9. These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.

    10. And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:

    11. They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.

These verses are definitive, indeed. Were it not for the mercy of The Lord in his sending water from the clouds down to the Earth, and his creating and sustaining the rivers and seas upon it, there would not be a single organism in existence. Consequently, water is the most important substance upon the planet. These verses are even more profound:

    Bible / Job 38

    8. Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?

    25. Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;

    26. To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;

    27. To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?

    28. Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 25

    48. And He it is Who sends the winds as good news before His mercy; and We send down pure water from the clouds,

    49. That We may give life thereby to a dead land, and give it for drink to cattle and many people that We have created.

    53. And He it is Who has made the two seas to flow freely, the one sweet, very sweet, and the other saltish, bitter. And between the two He has made a barrier and inviolable obstruction.

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 27

    61. Or, Who made the earth a resting-place, and made in it rivers, and raised on it mountains, and placed between the two seas a barrier? Is there a god with Allah? Nay, most of them know not!

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 35

    12. And the two seas are not alike: the one sweet, very sweet, pleasant to drink; and the other salt, bitter. Yet from both you eat fresh flesh and bring forth ornaments which you wear. And thou seest the ships cleave through it, that you may seek of His bounty and that you may give thanks.

Human beings have been asking these questions for millenniums: Why is land water (river, stream, etc.) drinkable and sea water undrinkable in large quantity? How is the separation of land and sea water maintained? Well, The Lord of the Universe declares that he has created invisible barriers which separate the rivers and the oceans. Since water does not possess a brain or mind, some unseen entity of supreme intelligence must be regulating the waters of the planet. Even in an estuary (where a river meets the ocean), the river does not overtake the ocean, nor does the ocean overwhelm or flood the river. An unseen force prevents this from occurring anywhere on Earth. So, until the ever pompous (arrogant) scientific heathens can produce actual fact evidence (not their mythological theories) of visible barriers separating the rivers from the oceans, The Lord’s declaration is sufficient for his believers, indeed.

The preceding verses pertaining to water also provide a glimpse into The Real Mind of God: DUALITY and IRONY. Regarding duality, some of the waters are sweet or good for humans to drink. Some of the waters are bitter or deadly to human beings. However, they exist simultaneously (duality) upon the Earth; The Real Mind of God, indeed. Regarding irony, in verse 12 of Surah 35, The Lord says: And the two seas are not alike: the one sweet, very sweet, pleasant to drink; and the other salt, bitter. Yet from both you eat fresh flesh and bring forth ornaments which you wear. Human beings can eat fish from both salt water (oceans) and fresh water (rivers), and wear necklaces or earrings of pearls, sea shells, shark teeth, sea stones, and so on. The irony is that although drinking sea water will sicken or (in large amount) kill human beings, eating fish from the sea water is ironically not deadly. Consequently, the positive exists within the negative; The Real Mind of God, indeed.

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 56

    68. See you the water which you drink?

    69. Do you bring it down from the clouds, or are We the Bringer?

    Holy Qur’an / Surah 77

    24. Woe on that day to the rejectors!

    25. Have We not made the earth draw to itself

    26. The living and the dead,

    27. And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water?

    28. Woe on that day to the rejectors!

The sweet water terminology in verse 27 of Surah 77, is perhaps literal in meaning, for the water approximately 1400 years ago, (during the time of Muhammad and the writing of The Holy Qur’an) was perhaps not as contaminated as the water in this day. There were no atomic or nuclear weapons being tested underground nor on the surface of the planet, no oil-tanker spills, no radioactive waste tossed daily into rivers and streams, no acid rain, and so on. Consequently, the water in that day was perhaps sweet in taste. Thirst quenching is The Lord’s positive purpose for water; here is the negative:
