Monday – Cory

Danny had shown me the air mattress and insisted that nothing had happened. I felt like a dope. I believed him, as I doubted he would be able to keep such a conquest to himself.

I don’t think knowing that made it any better though. Perhaps, if Sky had told me straight away that nothing had happened, then it might have made things better. Perhaps, if she’d shown just an inkling of remorse over my clear hurt then I might have been able to excuse it. She hadn’t though. She hadn’t shown any remorse over hurting me. I’d known Sky for two weeks and I realized that I’d spent at least half of that time hating her. She was infuriating.
