    Monday – Cory

    Danny had shown me the air mattress and insisted that nothing had happened. I felt like a dope. I believed him, as I doubted he would be able to keep such a conquest to himself.

    I don’t think knowing that made it any better though. Perhaps, if Sky had told me straight away that nothing had happened, then it might have made things better. Perhaps, if she’d shown just an inkling of remorse over my clear hurt then I might have been able to excuse it. She hadn’t though. She hadn’t shown any remorse over hurting me. She’d just been pissed that I was making a big deal out of it.

    I’d known Sky for two weeks and I realized that I’d spent at least half of that time hating her. She was infuriating. She didn’t make any sense, and whenever she came close, she changed her mind and sent everybody around her spiralling back into confusion. It was almost as though she didn’t care. It was almost as though the only person she thought of was
