    Good Introduction. The author presents what a Charka is and explains each Charka. I've been told my Charkas are out of balance and told to meditate to rebalance, but I was not clear what exactly that meant. The author explains what both an out of balance and a balanced Charka means. The author gives a mediation for the Charkas and ties it to Yoga poses. I now have a start on rebalancing my Charkas!

    There are some sentences that clearly were poor English usage, but they are understandable and give the book bit of charm. This is a quick read and gives good information

The chakra philosophy comes from the Indian culture – the Hindu philosophy to be precise. The word chakra in Hindu, means ‘wheel’ or rather ‘spinning wheel’. Over the years, chakra has become popular being passed over to the West and other regions of the world where it has seen wide use in healing and spiritual processes.

It has been taken as an alternative healing method through meditation and color healing methods. The chakras are considered to be the root of the human aura; an energy field that exists in the invisible human body. An example of chakra healing color applications seen in recent times is aura-soma. Aura-soma healing utilizes bottles with colored liquids that are used to diagnose conditions in the human body and help heal them.
