About this ebook
In ‘Money is Good’ the Reverend Dr. Anthony Kwadwo Boakye considers the moral, ethical and philosophical implications of money – and more particularly, the way our attitude to money affects our relationship with God, with our families and loved ones and our lives as Christians. Far from espousing the often quoted notion that the love of money is the root of all evil, the Rev Boakye cites a plethora of Bibical evidence to demonstrate that God wants us to have money – in short, that money is good!
An inspiring and uplifting book full of insight and hope.

Money is Good - Reverend Dr. Anthony Kwadwo Boakye
Chapter 1
Our Great Provider
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Colossians 1:16-17
Money is good and I would do my best to give you all the wisdom you need to prosper. Money is a blessing but without wisdom and knowledge, you may not be able to enlarge your coast and have much more to yourself and help others.
One day, after praying fervently and retiring to bed, the Lord revealed to me that He’s coming soon and when He comes all monies would be waste. However, anyone who desires to make money would receive abundantly.
The Bible says in Genesis 1:1, In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth
. As Christians, we serve a God who is the creator of the heaven and the earth. As a result of this, we have an inheritance in Him.
But the same people find it difficult to ask God for money yet they need it to survive. Some men of God have preached that money is not good backing it with the fact that money is the root of all evil
, which has made many Christians afraid to seek money and prosperity.
Everything was created by Jesus and was made for Him. In fact, you are a child of God with the name of Christ. Therefore, you can have access to all that has been created.
Many believers are poor because of lack of knowledge. Most think that naked we came and naked shall we depart. Even when they are blessed with money, they allow the enemy to snatch it from them because of fear.
Money is a necessity and no one can do without it in this modern world. In most cities now, one needs to pay in order to pass urine.
Do you think your father in heaven would want you to live a life of misery and deprivation? You may say that money is nothing and that you don’t care whether you make it or not. That is not God’s will for your life. It’s God’s desire that we so excel and have everything in excess.
In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai. For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.
And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself. Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
Exodus 19:1-6
By the time Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, the people didn’t know the God of their fathers because they were slaves in Egypt and had been thinking as slaves. God had to reveal Himself to them and show them the things that please Him and displease Him.
Their fathers however knew God and were very wealthy and prosperous. Abraham knew God and was very wealthy.
Isaac also loved God and knew His ways. Jacob was also very prosperous and knew God. Joseph who brought the children of Israelites out of Egypt knew God became very rich and powerful because he was appointed prime minister.
God knew that the Israelites who had come out of Egypt didn’t know Him. He made a plan to show Himself to them through His instructions, signs and wonders.
Therefore, God told them that if they would obey His words then He would bless them as He had promised their fathers.
This is the way to become great, rich and wealthy – obedience to the Word of God. You need this so that you can control your desires and appetites.
In fact, your coffers would be depleted if you live anyhow because you would spend frivolously. There are certain things God abhors and you must stay away from them.
When some men are blessed with money, they act ungodly by leaving their wives for other women. This is wrong and will bring poverty on you.
Every job is capable of making you rich – all you need to do is to be committed and do it well. People usually fail to expand their jobs and opportunities.
We are the children of God – so we can pray and ask Him for everything we need, including money. Many young people waste their precious lives by whiling away time. You can make it, just look for a job to do to and do it well.
Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee.
Proverbs 2:11
Give yourself to good planning because that would propel you to prosper. You need to plan your life and live according to the plan. Don’t ever lose hope in
